“Mommy Why?” Tutorial

With the holiday season upon us, I’ve been consumed by Publix. This tutorial was from the last set of photos I did, and it features a very MESSED UP prosthetic application. I bought the “Out of Kit” brow blockers for Paul Ledney’s makeup a couple weeks ago. Here are some things to note:

If you have dark eyebrows like me—I’d highly recommend blocking them prior to application. I did not anticipate my eyebrows showing through underneath, so that I kinda had to deal with.
They’re not necessarily as seamless as advertised, but I won’t lie—I’d rather have this than using my prosaide or glue stick to block my brows. With anything, it takes practice, and I think if I had more time and patience—I’d nail the application better.
The blockers I used in this video are “deluxe” blockers, meaning: they are more contoured. Out of Kit does carry different blockers, with multiple sizes, so this is just one example used.
My prosaide dried up on me (fuck me), so I had to resort to using my glue stick. I’d highly recommend using prosaide or spirit gum to glue the brows down versus using a glue stick. The brows will tamp down better and less brow will stick up.

All in all, I’d say this was a successful look. I wasn’t too happy with how the scar wax turned out, but I also didn’t realize this look would be shot so far away, so, cest la vie!
