Channel Update and Works In Progress for the Rest of 2025

Hey all! A quick word about what I've been working on for the past ~month, and what the last few months of this year will look like. (Yeesh, where does the time go?)

The mod that won the vote for the next video was Everything Spoilage. After having finished the playthrough and made the entire (relatively short) video, it felt to me like the end product wasn't quite up to my usual standards. To check myself, I released it in early access to paid members, and a plurality of them agreed that it could use some additional effort. In retrospect, I think I was burned out pretty hard from the megabase, and I feel like that shows in the script.

So rather than give you a video that’s merely decent, the plan for Everything Spoilage is to leave the existing video as members-only, and I'll take another crack at the mod when I'm in the right headspace for it. It's a great mod, and I still think it will make a great video, but it's going to take a bit longer than expected to actually make something worthy of it.

In the meantime, I've been having a surprising amount of fun getting the Recursive Blueprints project up and running. It's really been stretching my circuitry skills, and I think the final builds (plural!) will make for a very impressive showcase. That said, it's also going to be an extensive effort; the Aquilo build alone would take about 49 DAYS of in-game time to complete, so even with a speed boost mod, that project is going to take me a while.

All that to say: I had hoped to get three videos out before end of year (Everything Spoilage, Dyson Sphere, and Recursive Blueprints), but at the moment, two videos looks more likely. I'm not sure yet whether Everything Spoilage or Dyson Sphere is more likely to get pushed further back, but the priority is still to get Recursive Blueprints out around early December; whatever else has to move to make that happen will get moved.
