Time Passing and Growing as Humans

Vilserio everyone,

First and foremost, thank you so much for your continued support. Some of you may have noticed that we missed updates last month, something we’ve typically never failed to do over the years we’ve been on this platform. I hope we didn’t worry anyone during these times.

The past month brought some unexpected personal challenges for us behind the scenes — the kind that knock the wind out of you a bit. Out of respect for everyone involved, we won’t go into details, but things are slowly stabilizing now. We’re doing our best to move forward, one careful step at a time.

On a brighter note, we’re excited to share that we’ve finally secured a permanent studio location... in Kyoto! It’s a bit of a journey from Tokyo, where some of us still live, but the change of scenery has already given us a much-needed creative boost. The atmosphere here is quieter, more focused, and helps us reconnect with our work in a fresh way. This time, the space is fully owned by us, which gives us an unprecedented level of freedom compared to the places we’ve worked in before. Since we had quite a bit to move, we rented a van and made a semi–cross-country trek from Tokyo to Kyoto. Here’s a look at some of the behind-the-scenes moments from that journey. I shot some footage too, but we might not have enough content to actually make a whole video out of it.. we’ll see.

Development on MS2b continues. It may be moving slower than any of us would like, but it’s moving, with intention, with care, and with our well-being in mind. Creative work is deeply personal, and we’ve learned the hard way that rushing it only leads to burnout and regret. So we’re choosing sustainability for ourselves, and for the stories we’re trying to tell. I know this might sound frustrating but I promise that we are on the latter end of the stretch. No dates yet, but progress is being made.
