Added 2025-01-25 23:33:10 +0000 UTCWe're days from wrapping the sixth issue in our Nodal Points series; a few more photos to add, an index to build, and a final read through to make sure I removed all of the proofreading notes, then it'll go to the printers and we'll hopefully have a few copies in hand before our February fundraising week.
This issue has gone through a lot of changes since Ari, Lynn, Julia, and I originally started white boarding it - the theme for issue six was going to be on photographers who've documented modified subjects. We sent out a bunch of interview questions to a few shooters, got some partial responses back, and then it kind of... stalled.
Somehow, 2024 got away from us and we didn't manage to get an issue out. The photographers never finished their interviews. Lynn and I didn't get a chance to chat with Eduardo (Lynn- let's make sure we do that this year?) and as we're about to wrap up #6 the only article that made it from the 2023 plan to print is the feature on the Madison piercing.
Wild.
We put a lot of work into this issue, and we hope that those of you who pick it up will dig it.
