An Almost Madison
Added 2025-01-20 22:17:16 +0000 UTCWe're almost ready to wrap the latest issue of our Nodal Points zine - Issue Six - which among other rad content features a write-up on the eponymous Madison behind the naming of the Madison piercing.
I dug through prints (a consistent theme in my life for the last few decades) to find some post 1991 examples of the piercing and ended up deciding not to use this.
My memory is spotty, but I seem to remember this being a transdermal implant and not a micro dermal. It was taken on blissful 35mm film, either 2000 or 2001 after one of the ModCon events,. on my friend Beki B, and performed by Steve Haworth.
Ultimately we decided that while it's Madison adjacent, it just didn't fit in the issue, so Nodal Points loss is your gain.
