Moving from Live2d to Spine2d
Added 2025-11-27 07:53:58 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I wanted to give you a bit of an update on how things are going.
I've decided to move from Live2d for my in-game special scene animations to Spine2D. Live2D, sadly, is very outdated at this point. It was outdated even when I started out, but I'm really starting to see the limitations of the program for my workflow. I'm doing this with hopes that it speeds up and improves my animations in the future.
It's something I've been thinking about for a while now, and at first, I wanted to just use the newest version of Live2D since I'm so familiar with the program. Sadly, to do that, I'll have to remake every single animation I've ever made in the game so far. This would take too long and is very unrealistic.
I still have a lot of testing to do before I commit to this change, but I've already bought the software, and I'm doing my best to learn it as fast as possible.
Here's a test animation I made using an old, unused scene from the game.
