Welcome to Dark Moon's Weave - Scherana and Shana's new educational platform.

We want to help everyone who wants to "truly" learn how to make models covering optimization, texturing, weight painting, importing to game and dealing with engine limitations. This means you will be able in the length of this course to bring your ideas to reality! Be it accessories, jewellery or even clothes! We will also cover a bit of porting, which means you will also see how professional game artists build up their meshes! Though the focus will be on handmade models, we want to teach you the techniques so you don't have to spend hours finding the correct rip for the project but simply create something that is fully yours and which is done in a way both game and customers will be satisfied with.

All of our advice is applicable regardless of your choice of body or gender, because the foundations will always be the same and the techniques we are gonna show you can be used for all bodies as well. We will be using Blender, ZBrush (for modeling) and mostly Substance Painter and Photoshop (for texturing). Occassionally we will be covering some other handy popular software, like Marvelous Designer for cloth simulation.

We are also covering game and fashion theory as much as we learned and it's important for the creation process. Learn what is baking, why we need high poly and low poly meshes, why modifiers are the best way in a non destructive workflow and much more!
