Good job making it through what a lot of people consider the hardest episode of the 13 + OVA. It's always great seeing someone get to experience this franchise for the first time. For your question about the movie, there's technically 2. Both are canon. The first is "Eternity and the Automemory Doll." The other, and canon end of the franchise is "Violet Evergarden: The Movie." If you can only make time for one, the latter is the more important one. The first is beautiful and well worth watching if it's a choice it's no context.
