My Dress-Up Darling 13-14

When fanservice works right for a story. So, I finally got to watch the live action adaptation. The actors performances were good and considering they adapted up to the Rei-sama arc in just 10 episodes the screenwriting made good use of combining events and using characters in different ways. I particularly liked the way they used Amane. The biggest change from the manga and anime was that due to the time slot it aired in, they entirely removed the fan service elements. Fukuda-sensei utilizes a lot of subtle story building techniques alongside her spectacular elements and this change to the makeup of the plot illustrates this well. When Gojo’s reactions to Marin’s shenanigans are removed from the plot the live action adaptation feels much more like Marin has a one sided crush than the duality of Gojo’s misidentified feelings for Marin present in the manga and anime adaptations. And, you can be reassured, that was not Shinju in those pictures. It's easy to misunderstand since Marin is dropping Suzuka's name in the scene. They switched the order two arcs in the manga.
