I need advice
Added 2025-05-25 17:27:45 +0000 UTC86 is a LOADED show, that much is apparent to me from episode 1. That said, I fear I'm at risk of missing things on character's faces or in the background when I'm reading the subtitles. Is this a show I should watch dubbed for ease of viewing or should I stick to subbed and pray folks forgive me missing (probably obvious) things?
Comments
Watch it in Dub its fine, elitist make too much of Subs imo and dubs have gotten way better since the days we elitist (yes I'm on of them) had a point.

2025-05-26 02:31:57 +0000 UTCI made these comments on the video when it released, but it (the video) seems to have removed, so I'll say it all again: Rest assured, not all episodes are as exposition-heavy as these two episodes, so I don't think that you will need to switch to the dub. Throughout the rest of the show, most of the exposition will be done in other ways, like the tone or the expressions of the characters, taking a show-don't-tell ideology. Also, you don't need to examine each and every line carefully to follow the show, you will just notice more cool details if you do make an (optional) effort to pay close attention to it. Also, as mentioned by an earlier comment, This show is really rich in symbolism, so if that's your thing, pausing and taking a second to examine background elements will reveal fun details (things like the lighting in living spaces reflecting the mental states of the characters in this episode, and camera cuts to other creatures or background elements). Again, this show is filled to the brim with small and cool stuff. If you are interested but not good at catching them all (I personally think you will need to be superhuman to catch them all), you always have the option of watching ctrlaltQQ 's videos on 86, where he points out all the symbolism we all probably missed. Either way, it's gonna be fun.
