The late emperor was in a cycle of abuse by his mother, leaving him in a more childlike mentality with adult desires as his body grew. The abuse the late emperor went through continued to him becoming a PD-File as he could only interact with younger girls as he feared older and more mature women due to his mother's abuse and other women older than him in the inner palace PD-Filing him (because he was handsome like Jinshi) when he was younger since he became an emperor at a young age. However, this does not make it any better than what the late emperor was doing; it is still disgusting. Not having mental health help back in the day makes for a messy history.
