Dear Craftworldians,

Welcome to a new lesson and Step-by-Step tutorial on the Hive Colossus by Artisan Guild!

At first, we planned to create a simple tutorial to kick off the year. But then, we realized it would be much better to offer something more complex yet insightful—something that you can use not only for this mini but for others as well.

As always, this is a step-by-step process that you can follow along with, or you can experiment with different color schemes. This lesson offers fresh perspectives on painting, no matter your skill level. Feel free to simplify the steps or challenge yourself by reflecting on each one. And, as always, we’d love for you to share your progress with us on our Discord channel—we’re looking forward to seeing your work!

A special thanks to Ani & Andrea from Artisan Guild, who made it possible for us to share the STL file of this amazing mini with all of you. You can print and paint it yourself, or if you don’t have access to a 3D printer, check with local printing services or AG licensed merchants for a physical copy.

Don't be intimidated by the steps—give them a try, experiment, and learn through progress. We’ll continue working on the second part of this tutorial in February, once we return from our travels. It would be great if you could practice Part One, so that Part Two, which will be even more intuitive, comes to you more easily. :)
