Dear Craftworldians,
I’m excited to share that Part 3 of the Darkoath Chieftain tutorial series is now on Patreon! See the attachments.
This time, we’re focusing on painting the Warsteed.
If you’ve been following along, you know we’ve already tackled the Chieftain himself. Now, it’s time to give his trusty steed some love. We’ll be going through techniques for accentuating fur in this stylized approach, adding muscle definition, and using color to really make this Warsteed stand out.
Don't forget, all our lessons are here to help you grow in your painting journey. This tutorial, like the previous two in this series, isn’t exclusive to the Chieftain miniature. If you want to follow along step by step and replicate the process, try it on the same or a similar mini. If you prefer to take the core concepts—like the stylized approach, color interactions, and accentuating with brushstrokes while keeping the ambiance colors visible—you can apply them to any project or model you’re working on. We’re excited to see your results!
That being said, don’t forget to read through the tutorials:
