One of the messages in this song is about the use of force by the government against its own people. While we peacefully protest in the Western world with minimal interaction from the government, other parts of the world still experience horrific acts forced upon them if they protest against the government.

I was just a couple years too young to be drafted into the war, but had friends whose older brothers went to Canada to avoid the draft. I remember Kent State well and the pictures in the video were heartbreaking. There was a sense of community in the hippie days that we are missing now that I think prevents the type of protests that occurred then. Thank you for this.
