I had to design more than a few REALLY silly-looking characters for this month's slipshine comic

I like it but I'm a bit confused because the folds make it look like the gray bit is gloves, but then on the torso the gray bit looks like a hole cut in purple fabric to reveal the chest. But the purple is the color of the flesh on the face so the purple on the chest must be bare but that means ... the gray bit on the chest is like a sticker on top? HALP. PLZ EXPLAIN xD I want to understand
