in this episode: the joy of feeling like myself again (while still feeling pain); how I've been nourishing my creativity lately; I read all my morning pages and I found juicy stuff; and some creative goals I set for myself.
All the things I've been enjoying lately:
β’ Inio Asano Documentary. I've been enjoying these manga artist's documentaries so much! Huge reason why I felt like drawing again.
β’ Akiko Higashimura Documentary
β’ Ed showed me the creepiest manga called Chi No Wadachi ("Trial of blood"). I wasn't sure if I should share it with you cause it's not something I have been "enjoying" but it's so good. Also, mega disturbing.
β’ Kendyll did a great video about pricing
β’ The Cruise documentary (found it on British Amazon)
β’ Karenβs Pen Pal, a video that made me laugh so hard. You don't need to listen to My Fav Murder to get it! Also this one is really funny.
β’ Lite box just started a IG account, and it looks so useful for how to price artwork
β’ Jacquie shared this misfit fruit delivery and the illustrations are so cute
β’ Woodstock documentary on Netflix <--- so interesting and inspiring
β’ Yet another art-packing vlog by Trickywagon
β’ Ryoichi Ikegami Documentary
β’ I wanna draw these Powerpuff Girls
β’ I'm in awe of Nina Simone performing βWork Songβ in 1966
β’ Found this great resource for drawing Line of Action and Figurosity
β’ this BABA OF THE WOODS (sculpture by Paolo del Toro) is both eerie and lures you in
β’ Scott Pilgrim vs The World 10th year anniversary zoom reunion (cast re-reads the whole script and it's so goooood, I watched it while drawing)
