Cryoverse Outlines: My Plan to Show My Work.

Hey guys. Klok here. Over the past five years, I have written a LOT of Cryoverse content, but I have also written a ton of supplementary materials along the way, including outlines for my story, character bios, explanations of time travel, and a buuuunch of other similar things.

I have never released these before, because they always contained and will contain spoilers in some form or another. However, I think they could be really fun to read. As such, I am going to start posting them on Patreon at various tiers so that people can read them if they want. Each tier will indicate more or fewer spoilers.

I do not recommend that casual readers read these. These are more for hardcore fans, or more specifically, people who don't mind spoilers, and other aspiring writers who want to see how I organize my notes.

$1 Tier: Any outlines/supplemental material posted at this level will contain minimal spoilers. This is mostly going to be stuff related to The Last Precursor, for now, as it is a finished story and the few spoilers I have all come down to unwritten storylines I didn't pursue, or sequels to TLP which I haven't yet fleshed out.

$5 Tier: I will probably post documents related to future stories I plan to write that I only have basic outlines for. As an example, I'm planning a Superhero Story, a Cultivation Novel, an MMORPG-style Story, and some other things along that line. Some of these are untitled, but others are more better-thought-out. These are also going to include middling-spoiler content that rides the line of 'too spoilery for $1".

$10 Tier: These are exclusively for the most spoilery content. I want to include my post-Stormbringer outline for TCTH, and other materials related to TCTH stuff I've already written, but which also ties into future content. I have planned VERY far into the future, as TCTH is an extremely information-dense novel.

Below are a list of potential posts I plan to include, along with their estimated tier prices. This post itself contains no spoilers, but the future content will. I will update this post with links to them as I see fit.

$5 Tier: Cryopod Classic Archived Document.

This post is from a document Soni helped me with. I was still learning how to write characters, and as such, he was guiding and prompting me with all sorts of questions to get my noggin joggin. It's actually decently organized and easy to read. It has lots of notations for Routes A/B/C.

$5 Tier: Cryopod Classic Primary Document.

This post will focus on a long, multi-thousand word document I once wrote for TCTH Classic. It's not super organized, and a bit scatter-brained, especially given I was VERY scatterbrained back then. I didn't know a lot about writing, and I didn't know a lot about outlining and organization.

$5 Tier: Cryopod 'Rewrite' Design Document.

This is a significantly shorter document I wrote while I was in the process of finishing work on Route C from TCTH Classic. I wanted to outline a basic idea for a Cryopod Rewrite... and Refresh deviates REALLY far from this. I still wasn't an amazing writer by this point, so it's a bit lackluster.

$1 Tier: Cryopod Refresh 'Part by Part' notations.

A very basic and barebones document. I just wanted to note what happened in each part that was significant to future events. I still didn't know how to write these sorts of things, so it's... extremely scatterbrained. There aren't any/many spoilers for Refresh here... it's not even all that important of a document, and if I deleted it not much of value would be lost. I do like keeping this stuff around, just in case.

$10 Tier: Cryopod Refresh Chapter 3 Document.

Here we start getting into far more detailed outlines. The Stormbringer War was an extremely complex and somewhat convoluted set of ideas that required a LOT of thought, planning, and work to make all the characters be in places they needed to be. This document not only outlines the ENTIRE Stormbringer war, but also a bunch of future material possibilities.

Note that by the end of the war, I was mostly chatting about specific possibilities for the ending with my beta readers on Discord, so the last 20-30 parts aren't really included here. There was just too much uncertainty.

$10 Tier: TCTH Chapter 3 Part by Part.

This is a refined list of all the major reveals that happened from the start of Refresh Chapter 3 all the way to Part 291, the conclusion of Stormbringer. It specifically focuses on reveals or information that will prove useful to me later on in Cryopod's run. There are MANY major spoilers here.

$10 Tier: Cryopod Refresh Post-Stormbringer Outline.

Now, we get into some of the really good stuff. This outline is actually amazing. It reveals the broad strokes of what I'm planning to write, and my outlining skills have improved immeasurably thanks to TLP's successful outlines. I know how to write what I want to write, and my organization allows me to be simultaneously detailed without forcing extremely tight plotline developments or characters being in 1-2 places at once.

$1 Tier: The Last Precursor Primary Document.

This is a google document I wrote and maintained for the entirety of my run with TLP. I kept it relatively organized, and it focused primarily on information rather than plot. You will find several characters that didn't actually make it into the story, among other things. 

$1 Tier: TLP Outline #1:

This is an outline I wrote when I was on Part 50 of TLP. I was having trouble figuring out how I would finish the story before part 100, and one day just sat down and wrote everything I wanted to include, refined it into a strong outline, and continued onward. $1 Tier: TLP Outline #2:

I wrote this outline when I reached Part 67. After chatting with my beta readers, I came up with a bunch of refinements, and this comprehensive outline ultimately became the document that I used to completion of TLP's story. I'm very proud of it.

In addition to the aforementioned posts, I also plan to post a lot of supplemental images and mockups I wrote along the way. I have several 'timeline' images I made in Paint that outline my thoughts on... well, time travel and the multiverse. Fun stuff!

As I release these documents, I will add links to the info above. For now, this is just the first post of many!
