Hiatus & State of the Game

Hiatus Plans~!

As previously announced, Particles of Reality will be on hiatus from April 4th until... probably sometime mid-May. I'll make an announcement before we resume.

Billing will be paused during this period. No action is required from you.

Next release is planned for the end of June.

Why the hiatus and no release in May?

• I am moving in mid-April! I need time to pack and unpack, get utilities setup, get settled in, get setup, and other stuff while working full-time. (Wee!)

• Honestly I just need a little creative break, too.

• I need time to do some additional planning for how to finish up Sebastian's route. I don't like my current plans and just wanna scrap it and start the second half plan over.

• The editor has been hard at work on the common route & Alexander's route! I need to prep Brandon's route for her, too, and incorporate their feedback into the game.

• (If I have time during the break) I'm hoping to do some additional work on the common route to give players an option to do a shorter summary for people who want a reminder without replaying the multi-hour long recap of Obsession. Along with trimming more fat from both the common route and Obsession recap.

What's happening during the break?

While I'm on hiatus, I'm only on a writing & release break! I'll still be working with the contributors on other tasks, such as:

• Sprites for the teenage triplets are still in progress (for Yandere Monika/Your Life).

• CGs for Sebastian End #3 are in progress. 3 CGs for this ending are currently assigned!

• Editing is still in progress.

State of the Game & Plans

• Common route is complete, but needs some trimming and summary additions. Editing is complete but these edits needs to be added into the game.

• Alexander's route is complete, editor is currently working through this content.

• Brandon's route is complete but needs editing.

• Sebastian is in progress with endings 1-4 are complete. 3 CGs for ending #3 are in progress. I need to do planning for ends 5-8.

• Plans after Sebastian's route (in order) are: Quinn, Julian, Victor, and "The End".

  • (The End will be... significant!)

• After Remembrance is complete (in order): Yandere Monika DLC for Obsession and then "Particles of Reality: Your Life" new game development.
