New Features! (No spoilers)

Here's a list of all the new features/mechanics that have been implemented.

All of this will be in the next monthly build @ end of July. This build has 5 endings in total (subject to change as always).

Delayed Choice Mechanic

In case you missed it, I covered it here. This is used a lot in Alex's route.

Walkthrough Display

You can now view the walkthrough whenever a choice or change prompt is displayed.

It behaves the same as the button on the Endings screen. It will display the full walkthrough image, clicking the image returns you to the game.

(This won't show if you hide icons in Settings.)

Read Side Story Now

Any side story which is relevant to the current situation will have an option to jump to the side story and read it immediately. You can also ignore it and read it later like normal.

For example: The current scene from another character's perspective or there's another scene going on around that time involving other characters.

When you're done, you'll return to where you left off. The side story will be marked complete. So no down side.

Again, you'll only see it when the side story is relevant to where you are in the story. You'll still have other side stories to read from the world menu.

This will only be for side stories. Mini & What If will never have this option.

More Walkthrough Info

There are now 3 new icons that show on the walkthrough. (Ignore the X one, that's temporary.) These will display on the Endings.

These icons tell you which endings are the most important to continue the game (so if you want to speed through a route to unlock something else, it's clear what you need.)

(Experiment) Music Gallery

Not sure I'll keep this (does anyone actually use this? I never have in other games.) I implemented it for some audio testing.

The new 'Music' menu item will open the new music gallery, where you can play any music track in the game (while this screen is open).

Obviously this looks like trash, it's not the final version if I keep it at all.

An 'Adults Only' (AO) gallery has been added. If the DLC is not installed or is disabled in Settings, this tab won't exist.

CG Identification (and Qty info)

The numbers beneath the image match the walkthrough so you'll know easily how to get what you're missing. (Data shown is accurate.)

The common route has 9 unique CGs.

Alexander will have 7 unique CGs and 1 unique Adults Only CG = 8 total

So 8 per character route is now my planned goal (subject to change).

This is probably the final # for Alex. But if the qty varies as other routes are completed, I may add more to some routes or their side content so it's balanced. (Obsession was massively Seb heavy due to funding and no planning.)

I want them all roughly equal, which means if 8 CGs x 6 routes (+9 in common) = Estimated 65 CGs in the final game.

Obsession (excluding Alex DLC) had 40 unique CGs across 5 routes (but Victor's was short.).
