Beta #1 for 0.3.3.0 - New GUI
Added 2022-10-04 15:29:02 +0000 UTCBeta #1 for 0.3.3.0 is now available.
Changes:
- New GUI
- GUI World Buttons have sound effects added
- The common route has been merged into Sebastian's route.
I've run through the gui many times and I expect no errors or crashes. Please reach out if you run into any problems with a screenshot of the error if applicable.
There should be no issue with save files (exclusive to this update).
Feedback on the new GUI is welcome!
Why was the common route & Sebastian's route merged?
When I first started writing this story, I had actually intended all routes to start at the end of the common route route. Upon writing, that did not even come close to happening!
Seb's route starts 2 years after Monika moves in with Quinn.
Julian's route starts a couple weeks after Monika moves in with Quinn.
Brandon's route starts some 20~ years before Sebastian's.
Quinn's starts the day Monika movies in with him.
So... the common route makes zero sense now.
Future GUI plans
I hope this will be the last complete overhaul of the GUI (^_^). But this isn't the entire final version. Some additional areas I may address:
- Button appearances may change
- Particle world GUI still feels empty.
- Updates screen is pretty bland.
- Will change the Gallery top menu
- Gallery left menu and page turning buttons are bland.
- Development tab will be deleted before release.
