Status Update Mid-Sept

Overall game dev status update time~

Accomplished Items in the last 2 weeks in no particular order:

• Beta 1 & 2 released for Brandon's route.
• Steam achievements have begun being programmed! They're working!
• Quinn's route basic flow was planned
• Quinn's route is being written
• Quinn's sprite is in the game
• Added forgotten Sebastian CG
• Some old Quispe and Lux commentary has been revived in Seb's route. During the polish period I'm planning to go back and add some more in other routes too.
• Brandon What-If being written
• Steam store mac version working. I broke steam. They bug fixed it. (Seriously...)
• Brandon new CGs programmed
• Overhaul of backend for backgrounds/CGs completed. This means saves will have loading issues in next release / beta2. This should be the last time this happens!
• Many stock backgrounds have been replaced with better stock alternatives, many now with day & night versions
• Trailer in development
• 7 new custom BGs in development
• 1 side character sprite in development
• 2 new CGs planned and in art queue
• Casper's sprite redone for tech reasons (but looks pretty much the same)
• Brandon's completed route will pass us over 250k words mark, 21~ hrs gameplay
• Created a simplistic tutorial screen (not pretty but it's there. Will think about GUI updates in polish.)
• Walkthrough updated for Brandon's entire route, and CGs added to Seb & Julian walkthrough 
• More wallpapers added: https://www.dropbox.com/home/Particles%20of%20Reality%20Wallpapers

That's the laundry list of changes so far.

The Great News! 

I am ahead of schedule!!!

How often do you hear that in game development? Haha.

Quinn's writing and the steam store were planned for Oct-November. Steam store is done now, and I've started writing Quinn's route two weeks early. I've also got a decent chunk of planned polish (the bg overhauls and such) done early too.

Right now I think the highest risk factor against release simply comes down to making sure all the art is planned, assigned, and completed on time.

Once Quinn's route is done I'll come out with a detailed plan of where we stand and what's left to do, probably sometime in late Nov / early December.
