Plans for Sept Update

Hope you all enjoyed the August update!

This will be short and sweet because things for the next update are pretty straightforward!

Next Update: Continuing Brandon's route

Brandon is now at 11 endings (up from 9, cause I can never stick to the original plan.)

• 2 endings are in game now
• 4 endings have their 1st draft complete, due for editing
• 5 endings still need to be drafted

Development for this route will definitely carry over into the October update. I'm not sure yet if Quinn's route will start by then or not.

It's probable that there will be 2 side stories included in the next update. The core route of Brandon's route turned out to be incredibly long, so I'll likely be breaking up a couple of POV switches into side stories.

Info on Brandon's Route and Adult Content

I've waivered back and forth on this issue for awhile, but I've come to a decision.

For the entirety of Brandon's route, he and Monika are < 18 years of age. This is necessary due to the story.

Now - news at 11. Teenagers have sex and water is wet. I don't personally have an issue with writing that kind of content when they're 15-17 years old.

However, due to laws and platform rules, I don't feel comfortable including adult content of < 18 years old. It could get the game banned in some countries or removed from some platforms. 

So, in Brandon's route there will be no explicit sexual content in the main story route to protect the game itself. 

There will be a significant amount of 'off-screen' and implied sexual events.

If you're disappointed, don't worry. This is where side stories and 'What If' scenarios become super useful. There are two endings planned that are eligible for Epilogues where the two of them are over 18 years old.

Brandon's sprite

The sketch is finalized, and here's the first preview! This sprite should be done in the next couple weeks, so more to come!

CG/BG development

I will be posting previews of these soon. There are 2 CGs (1 Brandon, 1 group) and 4 new BGs (2 for Brandon, 2 for Sebastian) in the works.

Just for fun. Here's the planning layout of Brandon's route currently. This is how I plan out the routes for every character. This diagram shifts constantly during writing.

Green = Events / Details / Summaries / Notes to self

Check Marks = Draft complete.

The first two yellow are the ones currently in game.

Next Beta

We're probably looking around mid-month for the next beta. Due to the length, there's a significant amount of editing and programming to do that I have yet to begin because I've been so deep into the writing.

Planning for Quinn

Hoping to start this month! (Fingers-crossed.)

Note that I expect Quinn's route to be the shortest of all characters, but I'll post more details about that as I dig into that planning.
