Status Update - July 3rd & August previews

Doing final editing for Julian's routes and prepping for July 3rd release.

Julian Route Status Update

Unfortunately, no Julian CGs for the next update (I'm sorry - scheduling and writing issues!), but there are multiple Julian CGs in progress right now! Ultra+ members will be seeing previews ASAP.

Julian's new sprite is currently in progress too! Will show those off ASAP.

Brandon's Route

Great news! Brandon's route has been fully planned out! There are currently 9 endings, but I've noticed I have a habit of creating more during the writing process. So that number may change (no promises).

Annnnndddd... I've already started writing the opening for Brandon's route. I am SO excited about it. It's going so well already and Brandon is a lot of fun to write!

Monika - Age 5:

Monika "Dollie needs a ride to the store!"

Brandon "Dollie needs a name, doesn't she?"

Monika "She has a name. It's Dollie!"

Brandon "Dollie's not a name! She needs a real name!"

Monika "But I like her name! It's Dollie!"

Brandon "What about Mary? Or Susie?"

Monika "You can name your doll Susie! And then they could have a tea party!"

Brandon "I can't get a doll, silly. I'm a boy."

Monika "Huh?"

Brandon "Girls play with dolls. Boys play with trucks, like these! See?"

Monika "But… why? Don't you want to play with me?"

Brandon "I am playing with you!"

Monika "But trucks don't drink tea."

"Little Brandon stared at Monika, dumbfounded by her ridiculous conclusion, before he burst into laughter. His sister pouted in response, so he reached over and grabbed one of the dolls on the floor."

Brandon "Okay, okay, fine, I'll play dolls with you and we can have a tea party."

Monika "No, wait, not yet! Dollie needs a ride to the store to buy tea!"

Brandon "Haha, okay. They can go shopping together. What's this doll's name?"

Monika "Um… Susie? She's your Dollie now!"

Mother "Viotto men do not end a battle on the ground, defeated. Your lack of pride is an embarrassment. Is that how you plan to take care of this family, on your back, crying like your pathetic sister?"

Mother "Be back here in the morning. One success does not outweigh the mountain of failures beneath your feet."

Mother "You will never interrupt your brother's training again, girl. You are nothing but a waste of space and a distraction. Until you learn to stay out of the way I will keep you out of the way!"

Mother "You have more important things to do with your time."

Brandon "I think it's important. If I got hurt on a job--"

Mother "Getting hurt means you failed, son."

Brandon "Well, if someone nearby got hurt--"

Mother  "Then either you have failed, or they weren't important enough to protect."

"He found his sister on the floor in the lounge, working in a math workbook for her lessons. Her arm was in a cast, but she still used it to hold her old, raggedy Dollie against her chest as she neatly wrote on the paper."

Brandon "Monika!"

"Monika's eyes grew wide as she saw her brother walk in, and immediately she began crying. Brandon wrapped his arms around her, careful to avoid the cast, and rocked her gently."

Monika "I thought I'd never--"

Brandon "No. Don't even think it. I won't let them separate us."
