A Moment of Appreciation

I want to say thank you to each and everyone one of you reading this!

Whether you're already a patron or just someone checking out this post because you've played the game, all of you are important to me.

When I first uploaded this game on Itch.io, I was thinking to myself "if 20 people play this and don't hate it, I'll be ecstatic." I was literally waiting for negative, hateful reviews to roll in, and ready to delete the game entirely if feedback was awful.

Now as of writing, I'm at 441 downloads (that's INSANE!) and have 8 5-star reviews (and hey, 1 negative review too, but this game isn't for everyone and I know that!)

I didn't even know Itch had a following function, but it does, and I got 62 of them! (Ahhhhh!)

When I started posting stuff on Twitter, I thought "no one's going to read this, I'm just talking to myself" and now I have 16 followers who like the game so much, they want to keep track of development!

When I made this Patreon, I expected to hit at most 5 people if I was lucky! I thought while it wasn't much, every little bit helps to have art done for the game. As of writing, I've just passed that number too, and have a couple Patreons-In-Spirit on Discord. 

Someone drew the first fanart of my game this week. Wow. I never expected that.

People were chatting in my Discord about the game, asking questions about my characters, giving feedback, reporting typos. 

Maybe these seem like small, silly things to be so excited over, but to me they're massive and I can't even describe how happy I am. I've teared up more than once.

Every step of the way my expectations have been exceeded, and it's been an amazing motivator to work harder on the game every day.

Thank ALL OF YOU for giving my game a chance! Thank all of you for playing it! Thank you for believing in it and looking forward to more! I am so excited to make more!
