Sunwave Hotel - August 2023 - I dropped the ball

Hello everyone, and welcome to August 2023! We've thankfully still got some summertime left, so I hope that all of you have a chance to catch your breath, go on a trip, or just find some time to chill and game before things ratchet up again.

So over this weekend, some of you who hang out on the Discord know I was lagging behind on the July Update and was powering through, getting three banging new scenes together while also working on conversations with Kuhno that will open a story point where she and you will try for a child. Writing dialogue of people talking about having a baby outside of sex is a tricky business, but I'm satisfied with how it plays so far, but I'm eager to hear your feedback.

So we have those two conversations done (with one more potentially to come), and then I nailed down two of the three scenes. I was getting ready to knock out the last one, which is a Nyras scene and then I reached out to the coder to prepare them for some work.

Then the other boot dropped. The coder is enjoying a vacation from now till around August 16. I'm happy for them, everyone deserves time off, and they work on SH and other projects, but it was definitely a moment where I slammed my head to the desk. This is on me 100%, I should have reached out earlier instead of banking on their schedule.

So, the update will take a little big longer. But, on the plus side, that means I'll be able to polish the scenes and maybe add one more, and I'll look at adding a bit more content to it.

Thank you all so much for your patience and continued support. We took a hit this month, but we're going to rally to make some banging content to end the summer, starting with this new sketch of Tengot's third scene. She's certainly one of my faves, and once I found the reference image for this picture, I thought she would fit perfectly for it.

So, to recap, the update will come out a little after August 16. It will have at least 3 scenes and some new cutscenes that help expand the end of the main quest for Island 2. I'll be showing some of those this week for people who don't mind spoilers.

P.S. It is with great pride that I announce we have now broken 8k wishlisters on STEAM! It's unbelievable, and I'm confident we will break 10k before the game goes out to Early Access. A success launch there will mean more fans and support to hopefully let me hire another writer and do more of the really cool stuff like voice acting and animations for existing scenes.
