The Releases History of Attraktors Designer
Added 2023-02-11 10:15:11 +0000 UTCATTRAKTORs DESIGNER is an application created in TouchDesigner.
Create, Design and Play Strange Attraktors in TouchDesigner.
It can play with different equations of strange attractors, mix, design them and manipulate them with different parameters in order to modify the movement of the particles creating random and aesthetically coherent shapes. The movements can be controlled by audio or by external controllers to record original and generative compositions.
Attraktors Designer 0.8 runs on Windows and macOS and with the version of TouchDesigner 2021.16410 and Attraktors designer v2022 runs with TouchDesigner 2022.xxxx.
It can run on a non-commercial version of TD, but with a limited rendering resolution of 1280x1280.
Features :
- Create, Design and play with Strange Attraktors in Real Time.
Standalone - No diving network concept.
- Create Attraktors from the xyz equation (200 definitions are available in the in-app browser) or create your own and save it to recall it later.
- Real Time 3D pipeline based on several particle systems.
- Design your particle system with different emitter and choose the final design (Sop particle, Trail particle, Billboard particle) or use the curl noise sub particle system to add some dust effect on your attraktor.
- Set the Scene Environment (Lighting Design, Material Design, Scenography Design).
- Post rendering effects (AO; DOF, ramp Background, noiser, DeNoiser).
- Post Effects with 4 slots plugins (create your own FX with tox files).
- Sound Analyzer with a clock divider inside to increase the trigger possibilities.
- Create sets of parameters to control Attraktors and link them with the sound analyzer.
- 3 Parameter Modes to control (Manuel, LFO, Random)
- Camera Positions sequencer links to the sound analyzer.
- Record Pipeline (Movies, Still images).
- Full view mode or use second monitor and keep only the panels you want.
- Inputs : OSC, Midi, Ableton (TDA Levels with clock divider), LeapMotion and Kinect to control the flow system (Kinect and Kinect Azure).
Release notes v0.7 to v0.8 :
- Add a full view mode in primary or second monitor.
- Add audio deviceIN in the sound analyzer, you can choose between the player or external source by audio card.
- Add Syphon/Spout Outputs : In the Record Panel there is now a Syphon/Spout NDI Tab.
- Add NDI Output.
- Add Image Background Input (movie, image, Spout/Syphon IN and NDI IN). It allows to use a video or an image for background.
- Add some parameters in the OSC in and Midi IN for clarification.
- Add a fadeout for the particle engine in the Composition Mode related to the duration.
- You can now open the flow subnetwork in the Inputs Tab.
- Add a new parameter to the parameter system: DustVel control the velocity of Dust particle system.
Release notes v0.8 and v2022 :
- A new snapshot system will be able to save the statements (like memories) and save them in a file to recall them and keep your settings. You can explore the tool with different settings and compare them easily.
- In the parameter system, we are able to save your parameters set with their settings in a file to recall them later.
- The Kinect part to control the flow system is improved with the addition of Kinect azure and many other things like the Kinect Instancing to choose which body part you want to interact with the flow system. We can use a record file with this feature when you haven’t connected Kinect.
- Add your image to a grid emitter and choose what brightness/color to create attraktor movement in the Point Cloud workflow.
Release notes v0.8.3 and v2022.3 :
- Control your SnapShots with keyboard shortcuts. CTRL + ALT + [0 to 9] to call back SnapShots 0 to 9.
- Attraktors chosen is now in the snapshot system.
- Point Cloud workflow in Emitter panel has been improved. (Tutorial #21 and #22).
- Add Video Device IN in Inputs to control the Flow System. You can choose your webcam if you don't have Kinect or Leap Motion.
- The cross slider in the trigger tab can be hidden.
Release notes v0.8.10 and v2022.10 :
- Add a new Process to Save New Project. You can choose if you keep the Attraktors List definitions and choose if you want to create a new SnapShots folder (See Tip #3 video).
- Camera Position Sequencer (CamSeqBox) has been updated. Now you don't need to switch with another camera. All camera positions are stored in the camera itself. You can visualize instantly the interpolation recorded. Add a delete at the selection and add an insert process. It's very handy when you want to delete a certain position or insert a new position.
- Prototyping Mode has been updated.
- Change the Record UI for better visibility.
- Change the Keyboard Shortcuts. (See the shortcut list in the Help Menu).
