Hello there!
Today, I am going to be going over the new Mood System. Previously, you gained moodlets that would be positive or negative and your boy could be Happy, Sad, or Neutral. This has been greatly expanded to allow for more moods and effects. Your boy can now enter a variety of moods, each of which now provides a variety of positive and negative bonuses.
There are 11 moods in the game. These are: Happy, Sad, Neutral, Tired, Uncomfortable, Hyper, Horny, Bored, Mad, Embarrassed, and Scared. Each are represented by their own colors, in order being Green, Blue, White, Orange, Orange, Teal, Pink, Grey, Red, Yellow, and Purple. Allow me to briefly go over how Mood will function before briefly going over the different moods.
Over the course of your gameplay, you will gain Moodlets, like before, but instead of them being just positive or negative, each one has a value assigned to them for certain moods. Being Pained will give you some points towards Uncomfortable, while being Well Rested may give you some towards Happy and Hyper. Getting Seen Naked may give you a bunch of Embarrassed points. The game will then determine which Mood is getting the most points and, bam, you become that mood!
Moods can change over the course of the day and will have a much larger impact on your game than before. For example, Positive Moods like Happy will give you a bonus to Skill Checks and overall make life easier. While being happy is the goal, it is sometimes useful to channel your emotions.
Hyper means your boy is energized and ready to tackle anything. They get a bonus to Strength, Dexterity, and Endurance Skill Checks and overall find their bodies energized. However, being Hyper can make focusing hard and will grant disadvantage and debuffs to Smarts Skill Checks and make doing things like school work harder.
Sad is your base negative Mood and will grant disadvantage on everything you do, no real positives here, other than people feeling bad for you. Neutral is well… neutral. No positives or negatives. Basically, means you got nothing going on.
Tired is a pretty bad Mood that not only gives disadvantage on most Skill Checks, hard to do anything when sleepy, but may also lock you out of certain Physical Actions and cause you to fall asleep in unfortunately situations. Uncomfortable is similar to Tired, they share a color after all. Being Uncomfortable is the same as Tired, except you can still perform physical actions.
Horny is separate from Arousal, as you can be horny and flaccid, but means your boy has naughty thoughts on the brain. Horny boys will more easily gain arousal and may even be interested in some… risqué activities. Though being Horny also makes it hard to focus on things such as class.
Bored is for when your boy just needs something to entertain them. Young boys need entertainment more than anything and if your boy finds himself Bored, he may not be willing to do things that will only increase his boredom. Except Bored boys to have trouble focusing in class and refuse to do activities such as homework.
Mad boys are upset, angry, or throwing a tantrum. Mad gives a bonus to physical skills, but also makes Smarts and Charm harder, along with Social Interactions, as no one wants to deal with someone who’s mad.
Embarrassed boys probably got seen in a compromising position. Being Embarrassed gives you a negative to most things outside of Creativity and Sense, since you are hyperaware of everything around you after that. Embarrassed boys also may find social interactions difficult.
Lastly, Scared, works a bit like how the Paranoid Moodlet worked before. Being scared gives a debuff to everything, except Sense, and can make your boy see things that aren’t there. Being Scared is never fun, especially if you have Supernatural turned on.
There are still some small details of the Mood System I left out, but that should help you get the gist of it so you can dive in and experience a much larger range of emotions! Check back soon for details on Sexual Frustration and Skill Checks later this week!
