Dev Ramblings (Arousal)

Hello there!

We’ve been hard at work on the update, between the craziness of the holiday season. Working on OC content, touching up some of the previous overhauls, and adding some new stuff. The main of which is arousal, which will be what this Ramblings is about. But I’ll start by letting you all know that Beta 1 should be out soon, we are currently in the process of updating old events to use the new code. Once that is done, it will be playable.

Beta 1 will mostly be testing all the changes we’ve made, with some new content tossed in. Sex stuff is still in the works, though computer issues our artist has been dealing with has caused some slight delays. Hopefully we’ll have some stuff to show you there soon.

Now, onto Arousal. Previously, you would gain arousal from events, along with some small bits depending on your kinks. They new system expands and improves upon this. When arousal is gained, it takes into account your Body Sensitivity and your Kinks to determine how much you gain. You could even lose arousal from these events if your settings have you turned off by some stuff.

Arousal gains also now display like Need gains, showing up under a scene to let you know. This should keep you better in control and informed about when your boy is getting horny. This will be useful due to two new features: Horny Mood and Sexual Frustration.

I won’t go into super fine detail, as those will be their own posts once they are finished, but Horny is one of the new moods your character can enter. This is separate from Arousal and instead comes from Moodlets. When your boy’s mood is Horny, they will be more willing to try… interesting actions. You also get a bonus to Arousal gains when Horny.

Sexual Frustration will get its own post, but it basically works like a gauge that fills as your boy gains Arousal. Arousal will decay overtime, but your boy’s Sexual Frustration won’t. Get too horny too often without release, whether by choice or from something stopping you from getting release, and your boy will become Sexually Frustrated. I’ll save details for later, but some consequences include: Random Boners, Wet Dreams, and maybe even some events where your boy gets ‘Desperate’.
