Dev Ramblings (Social & Classmate Overhauls)

Hello there!

A bit late posting this, blame Marvel Rivals, but I am here to show you some of the other new stuff we’ve been working on, this time relating to Socials Changes and the Classmates. The first thing is simple, just like Needs, we’ve updated how Social Changes are displayed, now showing a picture of the character in question. Now we still have some work to do on this, only the core 8 classmates have icons, the rest using grey silhouettes, but it is looking very nice and is another part of us updating the look of the game.

Characters like Noah and Gabe, whose appearances changes based on the PC, may have special icons instead of their face. Adults also won’t have icons until the adult sprites are finished, which are being worked on, but no ETA. I hope this along with some of the other changes can give you an idea of how we are changing the look and feel of the game while we work on other stuff we can’t show off just yet.

Also, we have another semi-related thing to show you. Ever since we first started working with Rayray for the official character art, we’ve been planning to update the look of the characters in-game. And I am happy to show off the new looks for all of our classmate boys! This new sprites will match their character artwork and provide a much more dynamic look to all the boys.

Now, these may not be the final sprites, we may still touch them up a little bit, but this should show you how each boy is going to look going forward! Now, you may have a few questions: Will the boys still have semi-random outfits? Will these outfits be buyable by the player? These clothing colors look very different from the colors in-game, will the in-game colors be receiving an update to improve them? Well, I’ll be answering all these very soon!
