The Venom symbiote is a good boy. He just wants somebody to be his friend. He can't help it that he's an outer space rage monster and basically a drug that slowly corrupts and destroys the lives of his every host. He's just a lonely lil guy.

In this story he gloms onto Flash Thompson, Spider-Man's high school bully who got his legs blown off in some gay war. Flash has mental problems, and daddy problems, and drinky problems, and cripple problems, and all that is before he becomes Venom. But luckily he's also a cool football jock so he's able to be a cool Venom with guns most of the time. He's kinda like Spawn but also kinda like a GI Joe.

Anyway he does some missions for the government and then he goes to Hell and fights demons and also there's a pumpkin man who's always bothering him. A lot happens, but it's all totally neat-o. This is a fondly remembered story by many, including me, starting now.

No other comics in this one, only Venom. This is a deep dive into everyone's favorite sloppy toothy goo monster. Come to think of it, why is he called Venom anyway? He ought to be called something like Goo-Tooth, or Sloppy-Teeth. That's my opinion and you can't change it.
