Ghoul Patrol
Added 2024-04-01 04:14:24 +0000 UTCI was already a man, fully grown by the time i found out Zombies Ate My Neighbors had a sequel. Most of you probably didn't know either. Has anyone ever played this game? I've never even heard anyone talk about it. What year was it made? What console was it on? Why didn't they just call it Zombies Ate My Neighbors 2, so that people might actually know it existed?
These mysteries of history may never be solved, but at least they had the good sense to include it on this re-release. Now i can finally see what I, and the world, have all been missing out on. Never before or since has a game made such an impact while the direct sequel goes completely unheard of by anyone. I must play this cursed game, the furtive Ghoul Patrol.
What blows my mind even more is now that i have played it, it seems like a genuinely decent sequel. The graphics are way better, the character designs are updated, the controls are different in a very cool way and there's all kinds of little tweaks and changes to the level design that are very interesting. It's definitely not as iconic as the first, but there are some real improvements to be enjoyed here.
The re-release is worth it just for the first game alone because it's a stone cold classic, but this previously non-existent sequel that has Mandela'd itself into existence is a hella cool bonus that i'm eager to play more of. So i'm gonna go do that. Smell ya later!
