YCH story offers - input needed
Added 2019-06-05 21:58:18 +0000 UTCI mentioned this a while back, but I wanna start offering YCH stories a bit more regularly! I've got a couple ideas written down, and I've been thinking about doing them differently than I used to. Originally I'd just post what the story would be about, name a price, and let the first person who claimed it have it. Going forward, however, I think it'd be more fun for both of us (as well as probably more rewarding π) to do it as anonymous Google Forms polls, asking a set of basic info regarding the story subject and then contact + payment info.
The important part is, though, that there'd be a base price on the story, and participants would get the option to name their own price of at least that base. I haven't yet decided if I wanna make the decision 100% highest-bidder-wins or not, but that does seem the most fair. Since you guys are Patrons (I'm thinking I'll mark this out on a specific tier, if it does keep on going) you'll get a flat reduction off the end price if you in: for example, if you put down $100 and win, you'd end up getting, say, $10 off of that. The base price and flat discount will change per story based on a couple different things, mostly how much input + control you'll have over the content.
What I really wanna know, though, is whether you guys think the current highest bid should be publicly posted or not. That'll help to drive up the income from the winner ππ but at the same time, it'll dissuade people from tossing their name into the hat in case I decide not to choose the highest.
