That is quite the ask though, I would say that the failures of “econ101” are that it misleads people into thinking economic policy is simple based on highly flawed introductory models. The content of actual econ101 courses will vary but many retain an obsession with mathematics over history and tend to have a pro-market bias. In addition, there is no notion of contingency or pluralism - all students get are the maths/diagrams. Good luck!

I didn’t know how else to reach out, but I was wondering if you could help me with something. At my University, I’ve been given an opportunity to speak at a soap box and I’m going to use it to speak about the abject failure of Econ101 (which I am currently taking). If you could sum up the problem in maybe 2 or 3 sentences, how would you characterize the issues with orthodox neo-classical economics as well as how it’s taught in foundational economics courses?
