Progress on the Comic: Lightrider and Morgan Myst

I've made some progress on the comic featuring Lightrider and Morgan Myst, starting with the first panel, just before the nomming begins. I'm really enjoying this season's skins. Lightrider especially stands out to me (for obvious reasons...the tummy!). I later realized she’s meant to be a surfer girl in a wetsuit, which I thought was a cool touch.

Morgan Myst, on the other hand, grew on me over time. At first, she didn’t seem all that interesting, but that changed once I started drawing her. It’s funny how that happens, there’s about a 50% chance I’ll end up liking a character more once I start illustrating them. I first noticed this when I had to draw Cynthia from Diamond and Pearl for a friend. I wasn’t particularly fond of her at first, but something clicked while I was working on the piece.

Of course, this doesn’t happen with every character, which is why I think the odds are roughly even. Still, it's always an interesting surprise when drawing turns into appreciation.

Now, I find myself using the Morgan Myst skin a lot when playing Fortnite. I guess drawing is the ultimate trial...
