"Dinosauria" Update #26: A Troubled Production.
Added 2021-11-04 19:22:18 +0000 UTCWork on "A More Ancient Spring" has been much tougher than the rest of the films in this series, but it's finally starting to wrap up now and should be out for Early Patreon Supporters in the next few weeks.
I have been working on this film for almost as long as "Old Buck". I started work on both of them in January 2021 about two weeks apart from one another. The film has gone through numerous art-style changes (tests of more minimal and abstract styles above), a ton of different rewrites and was even cancelled for two months. This film was a mess to produce but it was rarely frustrating because I could take breaks from it and work on the other films in the series when I got too stressed.
"A More Ancient Spring" has had my full attention for a few weeks now and is finally in a place that I'm happy with. I was really dreading having to sort this film out but it was a lot easier, a lot more fun and a lot more satisfying than I expected it to be! :D
The "Making Of" video covering this film should be pretty interesting considering how much deleted scenes, test animation, and scrapped content I have for it. This one has been a real journey! XD
