2016-02-05 00:27:35 +0000 UTCTrust me the bonus sketches aren't very exciting, basically just showing the process of a rough scribble to a finish product. I sent those to you as well so you could see what you were missing out on. :B

No one in his right mind would think of those as "primary content". But I also should not have assumed the sketches were separate, unique creations. Also, I hate to say it, but I have no way to properly access PSD's. Pearls before swine, it seems.

2016-02-04 21:43:54 +0000 UTCI feel a bit heel-ish, I was kind of afraid this would happen. I really appreciate your reply, and I want to make it clear that I wasn't speaking from a "I want what I can't have" standpoint. What's more, I was speaking from a much more generalized perspective. If I truly felt you were locking away primary content, I would have simply walked away. As it stands, I'm still here. It's just that I see so many creators- people I've followed for a while and whose work I enjoy- pull that sort of thing that it's become a bit of a trigger for me. I know why they'd want to try to bring in as much money as possible, and I can't exactly blame them; but like I said, it just feels wrong. What's more, many other people have proven it's unnecessary. I just didn't want to lose yet another favorite creator to the dark side, so to speak. I overreacted a bit (or more), and I apologize.

2016-02-04 21:36:39 +0000 UTCBesides, locking away actual content is dumb because my goal is to share my stuff with as many people as possible, not try to make a quick buck through "psychological manipulation" :P Anyways, just as I'd do for anyone requesting it over email (as I've always said in the past), I've sent you a copy of the .PSD file. enjoy ~

2016-02-04 21:06:08 +0000 UTCI'm not locking away primary content here. The .PSD is just a neat little bonus like "behind the scenes footage" you might find on a DVD. The rewards I offer are meant to be kind gestures to fans, little silly bonus things to show my appreciation. It's just my way of saying thanks to people who are really enthusiastic about my work.

2016-02-04 17:53:31 +0000 UTCWhile not a particularly egregious "offense", the sectioning off of actual content from lower tiers in this case is still very distasteful to me. Honestly, the idea of "reward tiers" at all in Patreon is pretty distasteful. I'm not buying a product or a subscription. I'm donating my money to a creator so that he (or she) can continue to do what he (or she) is passionate about. Why should I have to pay a certain amount to see certain things that I have helped fund- especially when in most cases I could easily see everything else without paying a cent because it's being released to the internet for free? I really, REALLY don't want to sound entitled. You are completely free to do as you wish with your work, and I am in no way forced to donate anything. But I want to donate. I want to help. I love your work, and I want to see more. But when you essentially tell me that my donation "isn't good enough" by locking content behind a higher tier, it feels... wrong. It feels like those F2P games that "encourage" the player to buy microtransactions via psychological manipulation. And on top of that, it ignores the fact that I (and many others) have a limited budget for Patreon, and I want to support as many people as I can. If I increased my donation to $5 for one, I'd have to cut donations to others. This isn't a competition- at least, it shouldn't be. I'm sorry to rant, and I hope I haven't made a complete ass of myself. As I said, I love your work; and I sincerely hope you consider what I have said.
