What keeping things positive fully demands

I spent all day yesterday and this evening contemplating how to stay positive with such negativity surrounding me. I found a solution. It’s unconventional as always. But for the time being, it really is thought of the hour.

In my last post i talked about how I understood how the parks department and NYPD and sanitation worked together to remove my piano and trash it. It stirs up so much negativity within me and I expect the same within people who read the post. But I can’t allow myself to use this is my rallying cry to raise support. There’s so much more to the story.

What Id really like is somehow to get a hold of the police camera footage above the piano. Not because I want to find someone to blame. But because I know over the past nine months there are dozens of examples of police officers being tremendously kind to me and checking in on me regularly to make sure I was OK. And doing what we all need police officers for in the first place. Protecting me from danger

There would be footage of everyone from mildly insane wash sq park regulus, too drug dealers who are probably ashamed to be seen being so kind. The parks department as well as sanitation all having countless positive exchanges with me that really helped me a lot.

NYU professors and NYU students were among the most helpful and consistent. Despite the fact that-students ended up being responsible damage to the piano, I want to focus more on the ones who were kind and hope that really highlighting and honoring these beautiful moments will make the negative feel less significant and less troubling. Because the truth is I think it is leas significant.

I’m going to make sure the positivity outshines negative. Negativity seems to always unfairly demand the spotlight. I think often times this causes the world to think New Yorkers are fundamentally negative. They’re not. New Yorkers are fundamentally awesome. We all deal with negativity . But it’s never truly the star. I’m determined to not allow it
