Great news: I'm approved to create my unofficial audio covers for Czepeku maps!
Added 2025-06-19 18:46:41 +0000 UTCOne of the conditions was to ditch all the AI graphic covers from my Patreon, from avatar to background and sound pack art covers. I'm glad to do that and to contribute to a 100% AI-free creators community.
As someone who used AI for graphic covers of his sound packs, I'm not in a position to judge you or anyone else, and I understand why people use them. But we must keep our artists busy. We can't let the art die, and we can't let people go hungry after years of crafting their skills in any creative field.
As a musician, I used to think, "I don’t approve of selling AI graphics, but I can use them for my covers." The truth is, my covers could have been made from stock images where someone actually earns something from it. I was too carried away to admit that to myself. I got lost in flashy graphics that could instantly match what I envisioned for my sound packs.
Later, when Suno AI came along, I got scared and thought, "Man, they’ve got music too now..." But it was hypocritical of me, because graphic artists and we musicians are just different sides of the same coin.
So I get it. I see what’s going on, and I can only hope that human-made art will be more appreciated as AI becomes more advanced. I wish for human art to be treated like a custom piece of furniture, or an exotic handmade carpet, or a painting, something that always keeps its value, artistically and financially.
During the next two weeks, along with my usual work, I'll start updating my graphics. Thank you all, and thanks to Czepeku for the opportunity.
