This pocket journal was purchased in London in 1930 by Erich Heinrich Goerlitz, a young German student of Archaeology, while he was visiting England. For eight years he kept his private notes in it, most concerning a strange (some said pre- human) language, carefully writing out his ever-growing belief that the world was not only filled with secrets, it was wholly composed of them. It is called the “Hudson Book” because the journal was purchased at the HUDSON’S BAY COMPANY in London, and has a prominent HUDSON stamp on its cover. Sometimes it is referred to as “Goerlitz Diary” or the “Aklo Diary”.
