It's been another eventful month in the Dorkfactory. Here's a look at some recent events and previews for what's to come.
Next Month's New Sculpt
I am so incredibly pumped about these new guys. They're just the right size of sculpt to really dig into every region and get the details right. These are pre-release previews so they'll get a little bit fancier but here they are.
They'll be released as a builder kit. There will be 10 posed bodies (legs attached), a head, and several poses each for the 3 weapon styles.
Grimdark Future (Onepagerules) Proxy Compatibility Chart - coming soon...
Here's something I've been meaning to do forever: A proxy list. I've recently started looking into Onepagerules' tabletop wargame called Grimdark Future, and it's awesome! I've heard lots of printer hobbyists talking about it over the past year or two so in addition to proxy lists just being cool, I figured it might actually be useful. So if you play GDF, or any other grim dark tabletop games, keep an eye out for this handy reference.
More Bases!
The free base pack has been updated with a new size: 120mmX92mm -- the size for the birthing behemoth. Keep an eye out for the 25mm variants seen in the previews above. Those will be added soon.
Matthew's List Top 5 Video
A couple weeks ago I had a super fun time hanging out with Matthew and Jill from Matthew's list. They asked me to join them in their monthly top 5 model countdown video. Matthew's List is a truly amazing resource for keeping track of monthly STL releases so DEFINITELY check out their discord server if you haven't seen it.
Printing and Painting
This very nice print of the Gunfather is actually from a video made by obscurities in miniature. Several other awesome prints are shown as well. I just discovered this channel. LOTS of reviews of printable mini sources. Definitely worth checking out.
Here's my (nearly) finished Birthing Behemoth. The pictures don't show just how big this thing is but it's huge. 12.5cm or about 5 inches tall.
