A little backstory on me and basil pesto....
Many years ago when I was stationed in Germany, I lived in this small town called Binsfeld. There was this quaint little restaurant that I stumbled across and I saw on the menu that they had something called Pesto Pasta. I had never heard of it and it seemed interesting, so I ordered it. The moment I took my first bite, I was in love! I think I went on to eat at that same restaurant probably 50 times in my 3 years in Germany. And every time I ordered the same thing.
Eventually I learned that they sell pesto in the jar, so it became one of my go to dinners as a busy service member. To this day, I still love the taste, as well as how easy it is to make.
So hopefully there are some fellow pesto lovers here :)
