ZORN’S LEMMA - New Comic

Hi y’all!

I am dropping here an 84-page structuralist comic that I have just completed; it deals with some fairly heavy themes involving life and death, and so please be aware of that before you delve into it!

This comic is very unlike any comic I have ever made before; it is more aligned with the types of movies I used to make; I had a deep love for works that relied heavily on structures and form, and that was all I ever wanted to do! In comics, I have generally pushed myself to have a more of focus on character above all, but this… the general inspiration for this came from three places: 1) Les Miserables, and specifically the character of Eponine, whose tragic life was cruelly cut short before she was ever able to experience true joy or love, 2) the structural film ZORNS LEMMA (itself named for the math principle) by the avant garde filmmaker Hollis Frampton, and 3) this like four-second sequence from Jean-Luc Godard’s FILM SOCIALISME, in which a photographer’s actions are caught within still photographs.

Because I spent all week working on this, there will unfortunately be no NSFW drawing this week; but please do not fret, as I am about to draw a fourteen-page porn comic that y’all will get to see early ☺️☺️☺️
