She is the BEST of the "torch singers." She has done uniquely amazing things in the world of music - The Stone Pony's, Solo Artist, Broadway with Pirates of Penzance, Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Duets, Mexican language album. An Arizona girl through and through. Smart and strong. The Eagles owe their career to her. Johnny Cash adored her. I saw her in concert at the height of her fame in 1977 at Barton Hall. She is still an amazing beautiful soul. I loved her then and I always will.
