All of that coming in hot!!

The last week has been really good in terms of practicing guitar/piano, made time for it just about every day. Finally got to have a band practice after several weeks, had a great time! The singer, Jake, had to cancel last minute sadly since he started feeling sick and his voice was not having it. I still met up with the Drummer, Noel, and the Bassist, Nick, and rocked out for a few hours. I sang through all the songs which was really enjoyable, also had the realization I may give Jake too much crap for forgetting lyrics/rhythm when singing because I was definitely fumbling through more than a few songs, ha! Though to be fair I was having to play guitar the whole time which for sure adds an element..hahahaha.

Alex has been talking about wanting to play more shows sometime soon and may want to try and do some with Adam's band and my band, so 3 sets total. So I've been trying to have the boys and I tighten up really good on a solid 30 minute set. At last practice Noel and I got a good draft together of the songs we think we want on it. Let me know what you guys think! Not sure on the exact order but here are the songs:

That's what it's looking like and I'm pretty excited about it, I think it's a really solid spread for a short, but high impact set, and seems really fun for the guys and I to play through. Definitely just started learning 'Mother' this week and that's been a whole thing, learned the main guitar riff/rhythm for the whole song within like 10 minutes, learned through the whole first solo which isn't too bad, though have not really touched the second solo at all haha! It seems like it would take a lot of time to do it accurately, thinking about emphasizing key checkpoints/memorable parts and then just rewriting the rest, the solos are all in B minor pentatonic, the same scale/key as Comfortably Numb/Money, so I'm pretty familiar in those sections, so that's probably going to be the move, not wanting to spend days and days trying to go after the original note for note.

Those are my major updates for the week, work's been good, making lots of headway in the different areas I'm involved with! Hope you guys have a great start to your week! Let's make it a good one! Cheers! :)

Will Nick Drake ever been reacted to on this channel? I have only been imploring for 5 years. Do One of These Things First and I will totally leave it alone if you don't want to do more. Last try.
