Haven’t heard much from The Band recently! You guys should hit their 1968 debut album Music From Big Pink!!

Stevie Granat

Trivia: "One common misconception is that Tupelo honey hails from the city of Tupelo, Mississippi. Tupelo honey is only commercially produced in a specific geographic region of Southern Georgia and the Florida panhandle, home to the Apalachicola River Basin. This system of winding rivers and swamps creates the perfect environment for Nyssa ogechee, also known as the White Tupelo, Ogechee Lime, or White Gum Tupelo tree, to thrive in large numbers. The roots and bases of this tree prefer to stay submerged in water. Most years, there is a Tupelo Honey festival held in the town of Wewahitchka, Florida. This area is notorious for its Tupelo Honey production, and here, beekeepers from the surrounding area come to show off their best product. There is a bit of a rivalry between which state, Georgia or Florida, produces the best of the best when it comes to Tupelo honey." -- Saratoga Tea Company website

Debra Mead

"This Is the One" Stone Roses

Alex Bennett

"Brand New Life" Young Marble Giants

Alex Bennett

"Appetite" Prefab Sprout

Alex Bennett

It was a massive hit.

Lucie Melahn

Judie Tzuke - For You. Never the massive hit it should've been. It's unique.

Gill Roffey

Not a single, but I think for an album, you guys would really enjoy 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik" album from Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Junie Tunes

Would love if you explored Bob Marley again. Namely "Redemption Song"

Junie Tunes

Shoutouts to Charlie and Ricky for their work on this. Have been spending the last two days picking and choosing album reax that I missed along the way. Fantastically fun. Two notes I'd make, 1 dude's opinion: You need another Seger album. And you need to do "Songs in the Key of Life." Appreciate you guys!

Chris Juzwik

In light of Brian Wilson's passing....you should check out The Beach Boys's "Surfs Up" album. Many "in the sauce" moments including the title song - considered by many to be his magnum opus.

Jeff

I enjoyed this album, and Foreigner in general, and the hits in particular. But as decades have passed, the song that has grown on me is "Fool for you Anyway". Started as a solid "B" on first listen-- kinda limp-y-- but it's got so many subtle touches that weren't obvious to me until I'd heard it dozens of times. The choral singing is utterly stellar (listen to the timing of the cut-offs!); the delayed ending of the chorus is clever; the dynamic range of Lou's voice is incredible (both pitchwise and tonewise); the acoustic guitar sounds are fantastic. Ranks as my #1 Foreigner song now, which I would never have predicted in 1978!

Scott King

There's No actual "secrets" on Andy and/or Alex ever getting back to your request(s) faster than the rest of us because as you can see, there's just way TOO Many of us here Trying to get their attention for them to play our favorite albums/songs, so about the Only advice that i can give you is for you to continue sending them messages here whenever they post a new comment (such as the "School's Out Live" video they posted yesterday) and/or whenever they post a new poll, Or you could also Try sending them messages over there on YouTube or on Instagram. It's kind of like winning the lottery (sort of) because you just never know when you'll be the one they Finally respond to, so Good Luck with your albums/songs request.

TXCountryGal

New Patreon member here! How do I request albums/songs?

Brian Porras

Hey, guys! I'm just hoping to keep "801 Live" on your radar, especially "Tomorrow Never Knows". I've plugged it before, but I still think one of your inner circle needs to sample it and recommend it from the inside, since it will never win a poll-- it was lost on us in the 70's because we were preoccupied with disco, studio, American acts, whereas this is English, live and longer-tracked. You won't get it to win a poll, but if you review it a ton of your listeners will embrace it. This wasn't a band, it was a temporary collaboration while Roxy Music was on break. Features Phil Manzanera on guitar and Brian Eno on keyboards. INCREDIBLE bass performance on Tomorrow Never Knows-- that's why I keep recommending it. You'll flip! And if you like "Tomorrow Never Knows", I'm sure you'll enjoy the whole concert.

Scott King

What's funny, is the two songs that finish up side one end up really growing on you. Side two is one of my fav side twos of any album. Most of it is the Ben Orr show which makes it extra extra! Great reaction, thanks!

Steve Boutet

and one of the main reasons I suggest this album is that you have done none of the songs on it together...

Michael Jones

Love your reaction guys! So intuitive. I hope you will still consider doing a Kansas - Leftoverture album reaction. It is one of those experiences that everyone should have! Even if you dont do it as a reaction, give it a listen and be in the right frame of mind. It's a body and mind trip.

Michael Jones

Have you ever considered doing an album reaction to The Stone's Some Girls? I don't think there's a bad song on the entire album.

RMDIII

Maybe a live Faces song when Keith Richards plays with them. "Sweet Little Rock and Roller" is great.

D Dupuis

boys ive been with you since the bedroom with the cat. what i cant understand is youve listened to a big chunk of the RUSH library YET youve never heard the sweetest and i mean thee sweetest alex lifeson solo on the live version of MISSION from the live album Show of Hands. i promise you both will be blown away. oh and yea, more prog

James Nolan

Dale S · 9min "My Dark Hour" In 1969 Steve Miller hooked up with Paul McCartney - for the song "My Dark Hour" Paul recorded drums, bass, guitar and backing vocals, while Steve Miller sang and performed all the other instruments. Paul didn’t receive a composer credit, but his performance was attributed to Paul Ramon, the pseudonym he had used in 1960 while on a tour of Scotland with The Silver Beetles. .. yup you get a McCartney AAAAAAAAHH !!!

Dale S

Silly love songs please 🙏

SHY Xukun

Mother has to be one of the saddest most moving songs ever. I prefer Julia (from the White Album) also about his mother.

Michelle

It's a different tab but it's there.

Bomagosh

I was wondering, is there a master list of the albums you've reviewed? I only see individual songs here. If not, it would be great to see that! Thanks!

Adrian Stevens

There's a great song that I fell in love with a looong time ago that I think will resonate with you both, but especially Andy, it's called Last Chance by Shooting Star.

Rhinehold

Also check out Stray Cat Blues from Ya Yas. Mick Taylor is amazing.

Ron Davis

Rolling Stones Get Yer Yayas Out- you already heard Sympathy, wait until you hear Midnight Rambler (don’t bother with the studio version, the live one rules).

Richard Bozza

David Gilmour "Scattered" PLEASE!

Randal Jenkin

Great job on this list!!!

Mark

Blonde on Blonde please.

D Dupuis

A few movie suggestions are Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974 version), The Warriors & Rattle and Hum by U2

Graham

Thanks for the questions about Nick Drake. I answered those. Don't forget Bjork and Sigur Ros. I pivoted bc I thought you abandoned Nick but Hyperballad and Poppalogio are not to be ignored. If you do Sigur Ros make sure it is the live version from the Heima video. It will make you a new person.

Tristram Coffin

Don't forget Guided By Voices.

Terry Cunningham

What's your opinion on "Document"? That's my favorite, only a year later.

Chris Horner

Let It Be gets my vote too. There so many American Indie Rock albums of the 80' and 90's you can do, everything from Los Lobos to Sonic Youth to Pavement to X to Yo Le Tengo as well as REM and more from the Pixies too.

sam goritz

I agree. Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd say "Tim". I prefer the "Let it Bleed" remixed version (excluding the bonus demos, etc.)

DCMPhotog

The Replacements' "Pleased to Meet Me" The third of three consecutive and highly influential classic albums from the Mats that laid the groundwork for some grunge and other 1990s rock bands The first two albums in that series - "Let it Be" and "Tim" - would also be great to hear. Not a bad song on all three albums IMO.

EdNietoPDX

R.E.M. "Lifes Rich Pageant" - mid 1980s college rock classic that features the band at the height of their powers.

EdNietoPDX

Hope that you get through the Hurricanes unscathed!! All the best to you both! :)

OberonOZ

I believe you guys are near Tampa. Please be safe as that nasty Hurricane Milton heads your way. You guys are the best

John D

SUPERTRAMP! Gone Hollywood! (you won't regret it...)

Tab Murphy

Hey guys, love your content! I do think you could revisit some more "LIVE" material! Perhaps a poll of live LPs? I can suggest a great one right now... "Blow Your Face Out" by The J Geils Band, would be a good one in ANY poll!

Tracy Moffett

Hi guys, I don't know if you even read the messages here, but I'll give it a shot... I would like to challenge you to watch a video clip of Elvis Presley. I think that it is a shame he has, for the most part, been reduced to a joke in this day and age. Reactions to his material is quite often blocked on Youtube so it would fit in here. Please give it a try. It is Trying To Get To You from the 1968 Comeback Special https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ64T6gEdC4

Lee

Please do another Elton John Album Tumblweed got a lot of votes in the August poll. Thank you guys you are the best.

John D

Please do ELO - "Eldorado" for their Orchestral Years or "Out of the Blue" When they became a pop sensation (but still with some Orchestra). Eldorado was Jeff Lynne's 4th studio album (he was 27 years old). Thanks Guys! Dr. Max

Max Bennett

I second you reacting to The Pretenders. A great female led band.

Patreot

I've been asking for years. Hit the Pretenders. Do their first album :-)

Miss Lee

Not too many by the replies I’m getting

Bob Merc

Does anyone know how many subscribers they have?

Bob Merc

5 reasons you should react to Spend the Night by The Donnas 1) It’s Back in Black if it were made by women 2) It’s a whole album of 3 minute bangers 3) The guitarist is a riff machine and her tone is ferocious 4) The drummer is a maniac; she played like she learned drums by watching Animool from the Muppets 5) Their lyrics are raunchy and funny as shit

Richard Bozza

Scarecrow is a great album. So are American Fool and Uh-huh. Love the Cougar stuff.

Bart Stone

Please consider Scarecrow by John Mellencamp for an album review ... deep lyrics, catchy hooks and just a day in the pop radio star life of Mellencamp's rich playlist

John Stein

They should wait until the reissue of Katy Lied is released later this year. It should be out by the end of the summer.

Michael Trogdon

I can't afford the upgrade dagnabit!!!

Adell Dordelman-Cohen

STEELY DAN "KATY LIED" full album please. It's awesome!

Adell Dordelman-Cohen

Gutwrenching when you think about what mental place he was in to write it.

Scott King

Elton John Madman Across the Water - the full album pleeeaaaaaseee!!

John D

I would sure like to watch you guys give a listen to my favourite Supertramp song Fool’s Overture, I’ve seen you share the love for Supertramp and am really curious how you will feel about this one. 10 minutes long but a masterpiece.

Belinda Robb

You guys should do what Todd did, and open up requests to react to a song for $25-100 apiece. I have soooo many I want you guys to listen to

Ella Phillips

Oh dang yeah it should def be there, will add it, thank you!

Andy&Alex

I don’t see the ziggy album in the master list ?

MICHAEL MCINTYRE

Please do Ridin’ in My Car by NRBQ

Gino Capone

Led Zeppelin first album!!

Maura

It is criminal to not have done Zep II or physical graffiti yet!

Amanda Granat

They just did it on YouTube

D Dupuis

You're missing some songs. You're missing the very first Rush song Andy reacted to, which was "Working Man (live)" and there was a fairly recent live stream where they hit Rush's "Animate".

Jim Geiger

How about a single that will make you laugh? My first pick—Cover of the Rolling Stone by Dr Hook and the Medicine Show.

Nevin Ashe

Now that Dickey Betts has died you need to do a full album review of the Allman Brothers - Brothers and Sisters.

Scott Findley

The Beatles Help is still on the table. Ticket to Ride might just be one of the most perfect songs ever made.

stevebukovinsky

You are absolutely right, Alan. Classic albums like Nektar's "Remember the Future" or Genesis' "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway." They were conceived, written and recorded as suites.

Fair Haven

...part of that, I think, is that Prog music was conceived as neo-classical, with albums regarded as suites. Listening to single tracks in isolation doesn't provide the entire picture.

Alan Blunt

I was watching some of your Yes reviews, and you refer a couple of times to the difficulty of grading Prog music.

Alan Blunt

This is the bomb 💣 It's great to have such super fans of the channel to put this all together!!! But that's what you get when you have a superb show!!! 😎

JohnnyMartin49

you should seriously check out Neil Young, "Rust Never Sleeps' Live album music. Powderfinger will blow you away. Cinamon Girl and You Are Like a Hurricane are awesome as well.

Ron Little

You guys have done an amazing job of bring great older music to a generation that might have missed it. It is time to turn it around. You NEED to watch and review The Warning Live at Teatro Metropolitan. As an OG rock fan, you need to introduce this band to your viewers. They are the future of Rock and Roll. An hour and 45 minutes of original material with Enter Sandman as the only cover. Even if you don't want to do it on the channel, do it for yourselves.

Steve Lyons

Do the Band of Gypsys, which is a live album, or Axis:Bold as Love from Hendrix

Josh Sanders

The Stooges, I'm from Detroit, were my high school soundtrack. They were the 3rd act at every concert. 3 chord rock? What's the 3rd one for?

D Dupuis

On my short list of best live albums, let's face it, not all bands are great playing live. Saw Dylan on the Band's farewell tour. Umm...no. and it wasn't the Bands fault.

D Dupuis

Love the master list. It’s super helpful.

Dianne Hunziker

Agreed. Amazing song among so many other classic songs of his like "Older" "Praying for Time" "Heal the Pain" "Father Figure" "Kissing a Fool" - What a talent. Sad he is gone.

EdNietoPDX

Live at Leeds

Anthony Basileo

Did I accidentally smoke cr*ck? Didn’t these boyz do a full Van Morrison album?? I even have a memory (false?) of them thinking he went too ham on the closer. Now I’m scaring myself 🤔😬

CD

Pete Townshend - EMPTY GLASS. The album that proves one doesn't need Keith Moon to be a drunk.

Andrew Rose

I think an interesting album reaction to do would be In the Aeroplane over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, indie Lo-fi at its finest, and just a really cohesive album.

Scott DeHart

How about some authentic 70's surfer music, there's an obscure band from Laguna Beach California called Honk! They did a soundtrack for a surfer movie, Five Summer Stories, which is awesome. They're still playing together!

RandyMan B

Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder is also required listening.

Scott Findley

yuck

Donna L Larsen

I noticed there are like no female artists. Or like one or two from forty years ago. So I canceled my patreon for them. I did it based on this spreadsheet, so thank you for the spreadsheet,. You can really see the holes there,

Donna L Larsen

They have plant of male artists on their list I'm sure.

Donna L Larsen

That's an opinion Scott.

Donna L Larsen

I would LOVE to watch y'all react to Phil Collins "In the Air" Live. I promise you, you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Vicki_K

Please do… Brothers and Sisters - the Allman Brothers Plastic Ono Band - John Lennon Band on the Run - Paul McCartney Band of Gypsies - Jimi Hendrix

Scott Findley

I’ve suggested many albums over the years … recently I’ve been listening to the Badfinger Straight Up album again. Sad band history with management embezzlement… 2 bandmate suicides. Bandmates Ham & Evan’s are the writers of Nillson’s Without You. Nice easy listen to a Classic Album.

David Anderson

I wholly concur! Parallel Lines is exceptional!

Adrian Stevens

Parallel Lines - Blondie . All that needs to be said my friends

David Hawkes

There is is the connection a Stop Making Sense soundtrack as this listen was to a Purple Rain soundtrack essentially.

MarkTime

I think Andy forgot to update the movies on this post since they stopped doing movie reactions a while ago. The spreadsheet should have everything up to date though. Please let me know if you find any errors on that.

Ricky Spanish

Thank you! You did miss "Stop Making Sense" though and that's the movie I go back to time and again.

mindi

Also love their cover of James Taylor's "Fire and Rain".

Scott King

I'm a Boomer, and I don't downgrade the lyrics because they're not autobiographical or true or uplifting or coherent. I downgrade them because they are poor poetry and poor storytelling. Compare them to "Romeo and Juliet" by Dire Straits-- both songs have a very similar plot (successful guy helps girl achieve success, only to be dumped by her), but Dire Straits couches it in better poetry, better imagery, better singing and better music.

Scott King

"Pushing Up Daisies"!

Scott King

It doesn't matter if it's fictional, they don't have to like the lyrics.

Ricky Spanish

I have no idea why you feel entitled to pass judgement on a cohort of tens of millions of people you don't know. I am inherently suspicious of these types of generalizations whether they are about Boomers or Gen Zers. There isn't a "right" way to respond to art: all art and all responses to it are inextricably a function of particular social circumstances. That's how meaning works.

W.D. Rhine

Gen Z’s default understanding of the function of lyrics is markedly different from that of previous generations. Yes, there have always been philistines who didn’t understand the function of lyrics or brought their own false assumptions to bear. But the distorted lens of these Gen Zers is THE fundamental, collective paradigm of their generation.

Patreot

While there's truth in some of your observations I can't help feeling that there are many, many more shades of grey than the black-or-white picture you have painted. As one who lived through the 80's moral panic about heavy metal lyrics (followed, of course, by many predictable freak-outs about rap lyrics) I can't agree with you that failing to understand lyrics as works of fiction is new phenomenon.

W.D. Rhine

please tell me they didn't rate it based on how they felt about the singer's lyrics. It wasn't him singing it he's telling a story LOL!!!!!!

LANY 2017

Andy and Alex, regarding your critique of Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me” (that you would have rated it lower based on your disapproval of the guy singer’s perspective…) This highlights a fundamental lack of understanding on the part of Gen Z about the function of lyrics in the pre 2000s eras. The intended function of lyrics was overwhelmingly not to represent the singer’s actual moral perspective, or to even be about the singer him/herself whatsoever. The intended function of lyrics was to create something like little movie scenes. The singer was assuming a role in an evocative fictional scenario, like a character in a movie or a character in a short story. So just as it would be completely absurd to rate The Godfather lower as a movie because you morally disapprove of something the character Don Corleone expressed in a scene, it’s equally absurd to rate “Don’t You Want Me” lower because you morally disapprove of something one of its characters expressed in the song. Likewise, just as it would be completely absurd to rate The Godfather lower as a movie because you think the character Fredo acted like a little bitch or whatever in a scene, it’s equally absurd to rate “Don’t You Want Me” lower because you think one of its characters acted like a little bitch in the song. Confessional songwriting-the singer singing from their own, actual perspective as a human being rather than the pov of a fictional character, didn’t really become a thing until Joni Mitchell’s Blue album in the 70s. A handful of confessional Singer Songwriters followed in that mold, but even still the vast majority of songs in the 70s and 80s were still written as little fictional movies, with singers playing the role of a character. Hip Hop is what changed the public’s basic understanding of the function of lyrics. So now you have a generation who expects lyrics by default to be talking about the singer’s actual life from their actual perspective, whereas that kind of lyrics was only ever a rare exception in every era of popular music that came before. Compounding that, Gen Z tend to view everything through a filter of moral judgement, even when it makes no internal moral logic to do so given the context (the university professor fired because he taught a Chinese word that phonetically sounds like the N word, etc.) The frustrating thing is, I see Gen Z reactor after Gen Z reactor put aside that misapplied moral judgement in the case of certain songs that are obviously expressing a fictional character’s perspective. For example, when they react to the Rolling Stone’s “Midnight Rambler,” they don’t rate the song lower based on their moral disapproval of its lyrics about murdering people. They get that Mick Jagger is acting out a fictional role in something like a little movie scene. Yet for some reason it never quite sinks in that pretty much every other song by the Rolling Stones- and pretty much every song by almost every other artist prior to the current era- also functions as something like a little fictional movie scene. In the next reaction they’re right back to applying moral judgement to some other pov lyric as if it’s a modern rapper spitting bars about his own actual life and view of the world. It makes no sense. Just as most popular movies of the past weren’t at all intended to function as documentaries or personal manifestos, most popular music of the past wasn’t at all intended to function as such. So please, try to clear your mind of the misapplied assumptions and filters of your generation, and evaluate classic songs on the basis of their intended function.

Patreot

So, we're what, 4 years in? Let it Bleed, Beggars Banquet, Blonde on Blonde, Blood on the Tracks and Plastic Ono Band. Just a thought.

D Dupuis

Great one. I love early Springsteen, it's so overlooked. For some reason I also feel like A&A would connect with it.

Ricky Spanish

Bruce Springsteen - New York City Serenade. I love this side of the Boss.

Alan Woollard

George Michael - Cowboys & Angels. Have you done George Michael yet? You should do.

Alan Woollard

Colourfield - Castles In The Air. Brilliant album track featuring the late Terry Hall on vocals. Never heard of them? Give this a try.

Alan Woollard

Del Amitri - Hear & Now. Great track from a very underrated band.

Alan Woollard

I Am Kloot - From You Favourite Sky

Alan Woollard

The Isley Brothers - Summer Breeze. Their cover of the Seals & Crofts classic song.

Alan Woollard

The Faces - Debri. Written and sung by Ronnie Lane with Rod Stewart providing backing vocals. It was written about Ron's dad and the Debris is cockney slang for second hand stuff for sale at the local market.

Alan Woollard

Marillion - Runaway - You need to do Marillion boys. This track is a great advert for them and a good taster.

Alan Woollard

Supertramp - Try Again. This is from their debut self titled album and, whilst I could pick nearly any track off the album, after hearing it again today I think this would be a great introduction to early Tramp.

Alan Woollard

Just been on a 5 hour car journey listening to loads of old favourites. So, there's a list coming. Let's start with Andrew Gold and Lonely Boy. A 70's classic that you boys need to hear.

Alan Woollard

For the love of GOD you MUST do REM Automatic for the People. It's a god damn MASTERPIECE

LANY 2017

And now for something completely different, Harpsichord shredding from the 17 hundreds, I promise the whole piece rocks. But you could just sample 5:40 to 8:30. https://youtu.be/gIgqeA76cdU?si=wcxdZs-_IUO_99Hj

Robert Baeyen

Gentlemen, you really need to do full album react to 1977’s live album from “Epic recording artists REO Speedwagon” (complete with introduction voice crack) Live: You Get What You Play For. Just a rocker! When you get to “Regis on bass” in 157 Riverside Avenue you’ll be dancing in the furniture. It defined the late ‘70s concert rock, complete with the promoter doing intros/announcements. Plus, you’ll hear the live version of your A+ rated Riding the Storm Out. And the closer Golden Country, is still relevant, musically and philosophically. They were the real deal, my friends.

Allan Juhl

Yeah, they must see American Graffiti!

Eric Schill

It's been a year since you've posted any movies. No longer doing them? That's a shame because I was hoping you would get around to reacting to American Graffiti and Godfather Part 2. The movies were the major reason I signed up for patreon.

Francine

Camel - Ice. Camel are well worth a look.

Alan Woollard

Anyone Out There - Duran Duran - Great track from their debut album.

Alan Woollard

There is a film out...about this concert....that would be the best to watch

Edwin Moreno

The spreadsheet should be up to date as of now. If anyone notices any errors or omissions, please send me a message.

Ricky Spanish

The list is a little outdated, I'm working on updating it. They did do Ridin' Out The Storm, the link should be on the spreadsheet now.

Ricky Spanish

I am a little surprised Live At Leeds hasn’t been hit yet. Just an incredible live album by a band at the peak of its prodigious powers.

RD444

How about a live stream soon. A 60s theme would be nice

Christopher Greenley

Some REO Speedwagon. Would be nice. Roll With The Changes would be a great choice.

Christopher Greenley

Have not seen Skynyrd in a long while, also, physical graffiti has to be hit soon!

Amanda Granat

Anything by New Order would be nice!

Chris Kay

New Order - Regret

Alan Woollard

The Blue Jays- Blue Guitar - The Moody Blues and 10cc together, what's not to be liked?

Alan Woollard

Barclay James Harvest - Play to the World. I don't think any reactioner has ever done a BJH song. This needs to change.

Alan Woollard

They have mentioned in the past that they know that song. Shame, it would be a good reaction!

Eric Schill

Aladin Sane is one of Bowie's best and most rocking album. Honky Chateau by Elton John, Let it Bleed by the Rolling stones, The Who Sell Out by The Who, The Band by The Band, Unkown Pleasures by Joy Division, Raw Power by Iggy and the Stooges, Fear of Music by Talking Heads and, to go really far out, Another Green World by Brian Eno are albums that will take you in all kinds of directions but all excellent.

sam goritz

Lol I love some of the songs on the white album. Some were just fillers. Probably could have been s single album.

Lyn Hurst

I do not see The Cranberries Zombie on the list. Need to do the video. Fantastic song. I see you did Linger.

Lyn Hurst

I have been wanting to hear that. There is a great live show of him singing Little Wing. he does a great version of it.

Lyn Hurst

I Wanna Hold Your Hand is one of my favourite Beatles songs and much better than that pretentious White Album bollocks

Neil Ford

Thank you for pinning this back to the top. Greatly appreciate y’all.

David Borowsky

Ernie - Benny Hill. (Don't say anything).

Alan Woollard

Thank you for pinning this!

James

Yes, it was being kept by a sub who apparently quit!

Eric Schill

Is the singles googledocs thing being updated at all? It says current through Sept 2nd 2022. Is it that far out of date?

Murr Rockstroh

"Roadrunner" by Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers. Prototypical punk song, try it!

Todd Jackson

They already watched it! List is not up to date.

Eric Schill

They already watched it! List is not up to date.

Eric Schill

I agree with all these live versions - especially Grateful Dead Scarlett Begonias live, The Who Young Man Blues. Also, there is a live version of Sting singing Little Wing that is killer (back in the early 90s I believe).

Lyn Hurst

Stop Making Sense would be a great rock movie. .0

Lyn Hurst

No 'Stop Making Sense'?

David Kurzweg

Need some more live music on the channel even if it's a single. Fleetwood Mac Silver Springs from The Dance, The Who Young Man Blues from Isle of Wight, Grateful Dead Scarlett Begonias Fire on the Mountain 77, Bruce Springsteen Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) would all be good places to start.

stevebukovinsky

Next album please consider Joe Walsh - You Can't Argue With A Sick Mind! Live album from 1976, it's amazing!!

Eric Schill

Sting - Bring on the Night, this is a must listen to live album. Sting, when he was just starting his solo career and the musicians he had around him were perfect for what he wanted to achieve. The title track alone will blow your minds. The CD version is much better than the video version guys.

Alan Woollard

They did do it, and the list is very out of date! Scroll back through their stuff far enough and you will find it!

Eric Schill

Don't see the Elton John Yellow Brick Road album on your list. Really want to hear that one!

LoriRae

...Tell me you weren't talking about The Beatles as if they had no talent....

Matt Edwards

Waiting for more rock and roll movies. The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore and a special appearance by Billy Idol is a good tongue in cheek look at the 80s and pretty hysterical.

Lyn Hurst

Kiss: Literally the only band I have walked out on. They were horrible. Tickets were free TF. People leaving in droves. Rush: technically great musicians but OMG are they boring.

Dawn Sutton

If I want to watch guys dressed up in Halloween costumes I will go to a Broadway show since I only live 30 miles East of Manhattan. At least I will get higher quality musical talent.

William Hanley

Because Kiss has to be the least talented Rock band in the Recording industry. As for Rush talented musicians but I'd rather hear nails on a chalkboard than Geddy Lee's vocals.

William Hanley

For a single sometime can't stress enough how much you'd enjoy Bruce Springsteen Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) live from Phoenix. Check it out a find out why they call him The Boss. It's a pity you haven't hit him live yet.

stevebukovinsky

There are two albums seriously missing from this list. One was released in September of 1975, the other was released about 6 months later in March of 1976. They were the "You guys need to do something successful, or we're dropping you from the label" albums for both bands. They also were albums that were almost the complete opposite of what the label said they needed to do. Instead they were what the band decided they wanted to do. One was a double live album, the other was the band's second best selling album in their catalogue. Both albums launched the bands into the big time and brought instant success. Side note, one band opened for the other 1974 & 1975. KISS - Alive! (Sept 1975) Rush - 2112 (Mar 1976) Why haven't these two albums been listened to yet?

Murr Rockstroh

How about another Patreon 2-fer, guys? I recommend, "You and your sister" by Chris Bell and "Debra" by Beck which takes a very different approach to "your sister". Both are great songs by artists you are not likely to hear on your channel otherwise.

Todd Jackson

From 1977's Sleepwalker thru 1983's State Of Confusion the Kinks really had a return to creativity and commercial success! For an album track I suggest 1979's Low Budget or 1980's Live One From The Road! They put out some superior material in this period!

Eric Schill

g so they did. Whatever Gets You Through the Night. Listen to it!

Rebecca Coffey

Get why you picked it. Important and all that. But JL wasn’t above making a hit. When he met Elton John, EJ suggested that they collaborate to create the definitive pop som

Rebecca Coffey

I’m trying to stream these Vimeos on my TV. Is this possible? Would appreciate tips.

Beatrice Soila

No, might be a scam

Andy&Alex

It's been a while since a really hard banger. Love to hear Outshined by Soundgarden. Also, "I am One" by Smashing Pumpkins, before they got popular. First song on First album, I think.

if you guys ever want to try some new americana music jason isbel - cover me up, brandi carlile - the story, andrew bird - tables and chairs, randy newman (who did the tory story soundtracks and is a genius) - wandering boy

michael anderson

Yes I agree Jeff Buckley would be great !

Paul Tripodi

I just realized I've been requesting songs/albums from the 1990s too. Do A&A do that decade?

Claire McDaniel

The master list seems to have missed the B-52s Love Shack video. https://youtu.be/7u6dHQENc9E

Bomagosh

Have to do a Gordon Lightfoot album, a tribute to him! He was amazing! Gord’s Gold is my favorite

Amanda Granat

Hello! Ahem-hem.

Stig Baasvik

Have you seen the Summer of Soul documentary (2021) directed by Questlove?

Claire McDaniel

Yes Dinosaur Jr ! Great album !

Paul Tripodi

The Kids Are Alright is missing from the movie list

Robert Holmes

90's albums to check out: Failure's Fantastic Planet Teenage Fanclub's Bandwagonesque Pavement's Slanted And Enchanted The Lemonheads' It's A Shame About Ray Dinosaur Jr's Where You Been?

PerchanceToDream

Eighties gold includes Joe Jackson's Different for Girls. He's a great musician and this song gives me the feels.

grace vanzandt

Can't remember if you've covered Pat Benatar's He'll is for Children

grace vanzandt

cindy lauper's money changes everything and madonna's material girl

sam goritz

You need to do a Rush Album. Maybe Grace Under Pressure or Counterparts.

Carl Peterson

Paul Simon's Late in the Evening and Carlos Santana's Smooth with Rob Thomas

Marion Wizner

I recommend you react to The Smithereens "In A Lonely Place" and "Blood and Roses"

Nico Tena

PLAY SOME URIAH HEEP ! PLAY THE SONG LOOK AT YOURSELF FIRST

Alyce Elayne Taylor

Heads-up, the list is missing Carol King's album and The Bowie album too.

MrDeadstu

Neil's cover of "Watchtower" is completely epic!!

Eric Schill

Mention this concert a couple times on the channel. The Bob Dylan 30th anniversary concert is something you guys should check out soon. One reason is for the shear number of people you've recently hit are in the show. Stevie Wonder, Pattie Smith, Willy Nelson, plus Booker T is the band for the show. Plus three words: Neil Young Watchtower.

stevebukovinsky

This is totally out of left field, but you might want to do Bolero by Ravel (Classical music!).) Since you are musically educated, i assume you know it but if you don't, it's the ultimate "lost in the sauce" piece. You have spread your wings with jazz with Kind of Blue (great joice) so why not go further? To get back to rock, China Cat Sunflower/I Kow You Rider from their Europe 72 album by the Grateful Dead.

sam goritz

Don't know if anyone has ever asked you to take a listen to Jeff Buckley's Grace album, but there is nothing else like it in all of the 90s. A stellar talent lost all too soon

decal626

They’ve done Yellow Brick. Just type it in search.

David Wilkins

Yellow Brick Road?

Bruce Redfield

Letting Go by Wings (Paul McCartney) and Broadsword by Jethro Tull (sorry, no flute but worth it). Both have slow but driving riffs that build in intensity.

Knight in the Wilderness

They have already heard zepps song

Joshua

Goin to California by Led Zeppelin and California by Joni Mitchell.

Richard Rogovin

Fish-era Marillion as someone suggested would be interesting. Fish might be too 'theatrical'/bombastic for the guys, IDK. Some more exploration of AOR stuff would be awesome. Poco, Firefall, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Dan Fogelberg(The Innocent Age was a masterpiece worthy of a full-album reaction) And how about the soundtrack to FM?

Jim Coleman

Definitely 10CC, great tunes, and great lyrics. Try Rubber Bullets, Wall Street Shuffle or Art for Arts Sake.

LINDA MONKS

Good choice, they were unique.

D Dupuis

I endorse- Suggest Roxy Music debut album as a must. Sonic pleasure abounds

Kerrine Blenkinsop

You have not done Roxy Music yet, right up there with Led Zep, Steely Dan, the Clash and Talking Heads as one of the great bands of the 70's. Three exceptional songs are Love is a Drug, Do the Strand and All I Want is You (a terrific rocker.) Other suggestions - The Velvet Underground's Heroin (if you dare) and The Rolling Stones' Midnight Rambler (double dare you - comparing the 1969 studio and 1970 live versions of Rambler would make a killer reaction video.) Finally, the vocalist (if you havn't heard) for your Mr. Soul video was Neil Young, along with Steven Stills the founding members of Buffaloe Springfield in 1966. Their Buffaloe Springfield Again album is an absolute classic and well worth an album reaction. Sam Goritz

sam goritz

I really liked Shawn Phillips, but I am assuming there was no dancing at those parties?

D Dupuis

+1. Massive catalogue to get through. You might also like some Porcupine Tree. Wouldn't mind you doing "Fear of a Blank Planet" or "Anethetize".

Sidney Ruff-Diamond

I want to throw in another suggestion for Shawn Phillips. Several great albums, but start with "Second Contribution." Just sayin' . . . back in the day, the top records spinning at the parties I attended were Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues and Shawn Phillips.

Ed Noponen

I think it's high time you check out more Grateful Dead. That came out wrong ...or did it? Seriously check out Scarlett Begonias/Fire on the Mountain live 77. Think you'll dig it.

stevebukovinsky

Time to hit the band, Television. Their great and legendary guitarist, Tom Verlaine just passed away. One of the most underrated guitarists in music history. After hitting Television, listed to Tom's solo work...from Flashlight or Dreamtime LPs. Great stuff here!

Paul Schkrutz

Not to mention STATUS QUO, or Midnight OIL, The Divinyls, The Angels, Australian Crawl, Cold Chisel, INXS, Ice House, Crowed House, to name a few more...

Tim Backster

Damn, you stopped watching the movies without catching Eraserhead.

Terry Cunningham

There are a a load of established bands/artists from the 70's, 80's and 90's that, as far as I can tell you haven't reacted to yet! What about 10cc (Try Art For Arts Sake), Aha (Lifelines), Marillion (So many to choose from but maybe start with Kayleigh or Seasons End), Andrew Gold (Lonely Boy), Blue Nile (Downtown Lights), Boz Skaggs (Lido Shuffle), Bruce Hornsby (The Way it Is), Camel (Lots to choose from but maybe try Ice or Lady Fantasy), China Crisis (King In A Catholic Style), Chris Rea (Shine, Shine, Shine), Colin Blunstone (Say You Don't Mind), Del Amitri (Driving With The Brakes On or Nothing Ever Matters), Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons (The Night), George Michael (Cowboys & Angels), Japan (Quiet Life), John Miles (Music), and that's just A to M! There is lots of great music and bands you have yet to discover.

Alan Woollard

Honk - Pipeline Sequence

Blitztim

Where's a Chicago reaction. Haven't been done in awhile. I suggest Just You N' Me

Christopher Greenley

Another one would be Santana's Singing Winds, Crying Beasts. It's an instrumental with one of the coolest song names, but it has great keyboard work by Greg Rollie(who cofounded Journey) and exquisite guitar work by Carlos Santana!

SyrJeff1105

I really think you need to hold out and do the album all at once. The songs need to be heard in context.

James Rea

Andy I know you recorded Miles Davis Kind of Blue but Radiohead OK Computer nearly tied it… it would be fun if you did Paraniod Android from that album as a patreon single to also get a taste of Radiohead

eric perez

What happened to Men At Work?

RockyMtnHighChick

I for one excited to have a second album on music reaction channel.. the second album poll has been very close and all are incredible albums that you probably wouldn’t have reacted to due to previously only 1 a month! Can’t wait

eric perez

Too bad about the movies going by the wayside, maybe stick to music-related films?

G P

I have to say I'm bummed about losing the movies. It's my favorite A&A post every month. It's (sadly) like watching movies with friends. AND YOU NEVER WATCHED WOODSTOCK!!!! Okay, a little unresolved tension on that one, apparently. Yeah, I'm really sad about the movies.

GoldTopSlinger

Just curious, did you change to an extra album instead of a movie based on a vote? I really liked the movie reactions! It was something a little different from time to time. I hope you decide to reconsider or maybe do a movie once per quarter or something...

Rebecca Lynch

You guys are the only Patreon I subscribe to. Only did it for the movies. Guess I'll come back when or if you start movies again.

Denise Koch

Promising idea to add a second album instead of a movie. Considering you are a music review site it was a bit odd asking us to pay extra to watch Star Wars movies !

Geff Gorman

Question: To get the second album do I need to be at the $5 tier? or stay at the $3 tier?

Geff Gorman

I know you did Thick As A Brick but not in this list.

Eric Townsend

Just wondering if anyone pointed out to you that the guitar player for incense and peppermints by the strawberry alarm clock was none other than Ed King, one of the guitar virtuosos from Lynyrd Skynyrd and writer of Sweet Home Alabama. Seems like a weird mix and a hard thing to believe but rock and roll has these anomalies they're in. For instance, looking Glass had the big hit Brandy.... But when the lead singer left the band they got Michael W Smith to replace him and changed the name to Starz... Check out their music and you will see it's about as different as Skynyrd from the alarm clock. Love their song Rock Six Times

Jon Hanning

Would love yall to discover some U2. Bullet The Blue Sky for example. The Joshua Tree is one of their best albums.

BaguetteGaming

One hit wonder: Player - Baby Come Back

Lee

On the song level, you really should hit 10cc - I’m Not in Love. A very influential and groundbreaking track. Classic !

Erik

Shake Some Action....The Flamin' Groovies - one of the greatest rock songs ever

George Brady

On the Beach ... Neil Young

Bombastic Bushkin

Please check out Spirit. Fresh Garbage or Mr. Skin are a couple of my favorite tunes by this band.

krthejet

I love this album! I wonder if they would ever play this.

krthejet

Shawn Phillips - "Second Contribution"

Ed Noponen

Ghost In The Machine - The Police

Vince G

Bruce Springsteen - Darkness On the Edge of Town, Jason Isbell - Southeastern

Tom W

Would love to see you start at the Beatles beginning "Please Please Me LP. This is what started Beatlemania. You can hear the roots of their future compositions in a more simplistic style. Hear how they craft a bunch of songs with great melodies, harmonies ,chord structures and guitar work You can hear the building blocks of what's yet to come. It's a great album 1st to last.

James Gambino

OK Computer - Radiohead

KDH

Great reaction guys! MORE QUEEN! 👑🎸🔥🥂😊

LeroyBrown84

Some Thin Lizzy would be awesome...

Jon Hanning

Just to add one more comment -- What Alex was saying, I think, is that this album presages their later albums. And I'd agree. Their vocal overdubs and the guitar passages and the overall arrangement and production -- Yes, this is the beginning of "Big Queen."

Richard Rathbun

I hope you guys will edit the master list and keep it updated before it falls excessively behind the curve. It’s very handy and useful.

David Wilkins

That's a great song, but most people in the U.S. haven't heard it because it wasn't released here as a single.

DCMPhotog

Gentlemen, I loved your review of the Youngbloods 'Get Together' today. It reminds me that in your journey lately, you haven't done all that many classic rock era (1966-74ish) albums in full, and many are deserving of your expert and brilliant full takes, and are gathering dust on the shelf. Rod Stewart's 'Every Picture Tells a Story' and 'Gasoline Alley'. David Bowies 'Station to Station' and 'Diamond Dogs' and 'Changes' and 'Hunky Dory'. At least two dozen other LPs, and perhaps forty or fifty singles from that era.

Emma Ezzy

Try Aztec Camera with Somewhere in my heart - An 80's classic.

Alan Woollard

There's 2 songs I have heard recently that I am absolutely obsessed with that I would LOVE to see you guys react to! Guess they're a little newer than your norm but.......Chris Stapleton "Cold" and Disturbed "Sound of Silence ". Anybody else heard these?

LoriRae

Good one, Todd! Since it's pretty short, how about we add Adam Raised a Cain? Love them both from Darkness. Two for Tuesday edition.

NYRocks

Please react to "Candy's Room" by Bruce Springsteen. Why? It's short, guitar solo is the definition of searing and will singe your digits if you don't watch out, plus it's titled, M-F-ing "Candy's Room" so it's impossible for you boys to be done wrong by the song.

Todd Jackson

I would also like to say that it might be the most conceptually brilliant album ever crafted if you dive deep into it. Still thinking about it 24/7 since the first time I listened!

Miles Dinou

Hope y'all are doing well and having a good week! Here's my one and only request: Van Der Graaf Generator's "Pawn Hearts". Van Der Graaf is one of my all time favorite bands, if not my absolute favorite currently and their album "Pawn Hearts" is their magnum opus. I could write a dissertation of the lyrical content of "Pawn Hearts", it's that dense -- but its' an experience you'll never forget. Peter Hammill is the lyricist and vocalist, and his vocal range and tambor bring a distinctiveness to the band that separates it from the rest of their prog contemporaries. In addition to this, Robert Fripp contributes some texture with some subtle guitar work! Consisting of three songs ("Lemmings", "Man-Erg" and the 23 minute "A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers") it will be a musical journey you'll never forget. It's music at its absolute greatest.

Miles Dinou

RIP Kirsty

Lucie Melahn

A couple requests: "They Don't Know" by Tracey Ullman (yes, the comedian who gave us the Simpsons) "There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears He's Elvis" by Kirsty MacColl Kirsty wrote both songs, but her version of They Don't Know wasn't released until years after Tracey's was a big hit.

Hank Wirtz

TNT by AC/DC is not working for me.

Jordan Lucero

you guys going to review "Don't Take Me Alive"?

Daniel Lloret

Totally off this subject thread, but < WHEN are

Daniel Lloret

Also a random suggestion, but Genesis's "Dancing with the Moonlight Knight" would be a killer choice for a reaction the next time you're in a proggy mood.

Donald Womick

HALLOWEEN MUST DO: I dunno where else to post this. 'Witch Hunt' -RUSH... arguably one of their top 20 songs.

Teddy Heaton

Plus, we already know they'll like No More Mr Nice Guy because they dug it in the movie, Dazed & Confused.

GoldTopSlinger

This is the one song you have to do a reaction to. They all shine in this one. https://youtu.be/N4l6FU74pUY

Jewish Urban Bootlegger

start with this one:

Jewish Urban Bootlegger

You need to react to the most underrated rock band of all time, per David Bowie, Fanny. You can go to Beat Club’s YT channel and see so many of their songs and a few covers as well.

Jewish Urban Bootlegger

In case no one mentioned yet.. You missed link to Empire Strikes Back

Brad Johnson

While I grew up listing to 60's and 70's rock, and continue to do so, I do appreciate some of the bands who've come along since then that play similar music. I really enjoyed Audioslave, 3/4 of Rage Against the Machine and Chris Cornell, who I felt was one of the greatest vocalist of his generation. Please do a reaction video to one of their songs. I'd recommend Like A Stone as a good starting point. Thanks for putting in the work to entertain your community!

Dusty Lane

Yes!

HollyViP

We’ve heard the others, now it’s time for John Lennon “I Found Out” The whole album is about him, The 60s and how to sort the Beatles legacy. In addition it rocks hard.

Janice

Been asking for you to review some Spirit for quite some time now. They are an interesting band. Here are some suggestions: Fresh Garbage, I've Got A Line on You, or Mr. Skin.

krthejet

They should hear some Gary Moore!!

Eric Schill

Enjoyed your reactions to Hendrix and Stevie Ray. Have a couple other songs by my guitar hero, Gary Moore: 'Still Got The Blues For You' (84 Million YouTube views - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O_YMLDvvnw and 'The Messiah Will Come Again (live at Montreux) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k07j7LcLqw which is one of the finest guitar pieces ever recorded in my eyes. Really enjoy the channel!

Dusty Lane

My favorite is "Under my Wheels"

john j downs

Billion Dollar Babies with Donovan.

Gregg Alden Koski

I own that album Alyce, but I don't think it's the place to start. Maybe "Killer"!

Eric Schill

Start with "No More Mr. Nice Guy", kicks off with one of the greatest guitar riffs of all time.

sherm

I agree! You haven't done a single Alice Cooper song to date and we are getting tired of waiting! If you want some really old stuff, check out his Pretties For You album

Alyce Elayne Taylor

I’m amazed you haven’t done any Alice Cooper yet. Start with the early songs in the 70’s . Schools out was an anthem that every local radio station played on the last day of school. Eighteen is another song from 72 I think. After that work your way through Billion Dollar Babies. Alice Cooper is one of the most under appreciated bands.

What a Fantastic collection of good music! Congratulations guys! Hope you include more 80's rock/pop, now that Alex love 80's :-)

Tomás González Marín

That Google Doc reference with the links is my favorite thing right now. I would not have thought to look for "Georgia Satellites" but there it was on the list, right after Genesis.

Adam Conus

Yes great suggestions .. I especially love the Laurie Anderson suggestion saw her live when Strange Angels came out .. fantastic live show/performance art .. Big Science and Mr. Heartbreak are still my favorite albums ... I wonder if AandA are ready for that kinda vibe .. they were like nothing I had heard before or since for that matter..cool guitar sounds from Adrian Belew .. first hearing it it was like visual art and poetry with a comical twist collided and made music .. at first my thoughts were like "what am I hearing?" but it just kept getting better over time .. now 30+ years later they are albums I can't live without ..

dlh

Great suggestions

Londyn Rayne

OK man, thanks for the Madness shout-out. Been trying to interest the A's in some Ska!

so you didn't do crocodile rock on youtube

John D

Levon. "nuff said.

Gregg Alden Koski

Elton John's Crocodile Rock was a hit in 1972 but it is a novelty record. Another song would have been better such as the Bitch is back or Madman Across the Water or Levon Just my opinion.

John D

Just watched CSN&Y Almost cut my hair. I love that album BUT, if you got that much out of it you must get deeper into Jefferson Airplane the Volunteers album We can be together is amazing.

Guy Prins

A couple of requests/suggestions... This is the 20th anniversary of Springsteen's "The Rising". Most of the songs on the album dealt with the 9/11 attack. It would be a great album for September. And a movie suggestion: "The Buddy Holly Story" - Gary Busey got an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of the early rocker.

John Richards

They're already stretched thin, so I doubt that'll happen. But it's the perfect opportunity to say "I know you probably can't do two full album reviews per month, but it'd be a lot cooler if you did".

GoldTopSlinger

I think you should go to 2 albums per month. You can do it!

Geff Gorman

You guys are missing a great album that I know you will love... Blue Moon Swamp by John Fogerty. Every song is good and half are bangers... and it's basically CCR.

Ray Bellon

Cafeblue I'm and old, old guy too. I love your input. It's all stuff that I listen to Little Feat, Clapton's Running on Faith (I also like Old Love, Jeff's Cause We've Ended as Lovers, Going Down, Clapton's stuff with Mayall, Steve Winwood/Clapton 'Had to Cry Today, etc. Glad to see someone else still enjoy our era of music.

Clifton Owens

Still Pissed!!!, That Monterey Pop would be uploaded & Reviewed. But it hasn't happened. Somebody is Asleep At The Wheel!!!.

William Hanley

How about listening to Bring On The Night from the album of the same name by Sting. Make sure it's the album version though and not the one from the video. It's a cracker!

Alan Woollard

Elton John - Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy is an album worth doing a full review fellas. Not a bad track on it.

Alan Woollard

You guys really need to listen to "those Shoes" by The Eagles. That song will violate you sexually and never call you again.

Bobby_Z24

I'll throw Van Morrison's seminal 1968 album _Astral Weeks_ into the ring. It didn't have a lot of commercial success at the time and isn't very radio friendly, so you probably won't recognize any of the songs, but it's widely considered to be an all-timer. Under the right circumstances, the first listen can be a hypnotic, mystical experience.

David Sarten

Good point, but I'd be happy with any version. Or at the very least the My Generation track. And to date, they've only listened to one Who album (Quadrophenia).

Dan Johnson

It’s also a rare case where they actually should listen to the expanded edition with the extra live tracks. Generally, I think it’s best to listen to the version of the album that people heard on the day it was first released, but not in this case.

Bill Douglas

Please please please, listen to Live at Leeds by The Who! I promise you will be blown away. This has been called the greatest live album ever by many, and is definitely in the top 3 all time.

Dan Johnson

I would love to see you guys hit up some Peter Gabriel, great singles from his first four solo albums like Solsbury Hill, Games Without Frontiers, or anything off his album So.

LJ

Jane's Addiction - Then She Did. 1987 - link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6NSHNj_9ck

Suggest that the spreadsheet add a column for the date that the review came out.

Bomagosh

I'm on old guy. Most of the stuff you review I grew up with. We took a lot of it for granted then. It's nice to hear it through the fresh ears of as new generation. It's funny, though, a lot of stuff you find brilliant we thought was hokey at the time and rockers hated it. Lots of it has grown on me since. Some songs I'd recommend- Eric Clapton Bad Love and Running on Faith live version, Little Feat Fat Man in the Bathtub, All That You Dream, Nervous Teenage Breakdown or Oh Atlanta! on Waiting for Columbus live album, Jeff Beck Cause We've Ended As Lovers, Live at Ronnie Scotts. Also check out Eric Clapton when he was 18 playing with John Mayall and the Blues Breakers. Keep up the awesome work. I've watched you from the start, and watching you grow is fun.

Cafeblue

One of the coolest albums of the 70s. I'd love to see them do that one.

GoldTopSlinger

You must confess!

Bill Athon

I'd really love to see a Full Album Reaction to Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs. It has bangers and it has tracks where you will absolutely get lost in the sauce. Precise drumming from Reg Isadore great songwriting and superb guitar work from Robin and those incredible bass lines from Jim Dewar, not to mention his immaculate vocals. I know you've done a couple of tracks, but this truly needs the full album reaction.

Dave Cohen

It's time for another Joe Walsh banger. It has been a WHILE. The Confessor. This is the way. Prepare for a long intro and a sick song altogether.

Rick Welch

1983 by Jimi Hendrix and Love Over Gold by Dire Straits are both masterpieces!

Koen Hoeberechts

I know what I think of it ... freaken awesome

Brad Turner

Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks (1974) Great one hit wonder

Robert Franken

It seem as though Andy really likes harmonic music, without going straight to the early great blues artists, like Little Walter, and countless others but staying in the late 60's and 70's I wonder what they would think of John Mayall's "Room to Move? Opinions please

john j downs

Good Morning Little Schoolgirl would be good, although I could list 30 more

john j downs

Agreed! That song wasn't typical of TYA. They had that heavy rockabilly thing going on. They were a really tight band. Alvin Lee was a monster player.

Jay Turner

I'm still freaked that almost none of your listeners were Ten Years After fans, they are so much more than "I'd love to change the world" which they rarely even bothered playing at their shows, and no one missed it. With no radio play they sold out instantly whenever they hit Chicago, and played at their biggest venue's. A true Rock and Roll band

john j downs

John Lennon "Plastic Ono Band"

John Bellinger

Yes, the Alice Cooper Band vice solo Alice...

Michael Keefe

How about some alice cooper. Killer. Schools out (album) billion dollar babies.

snicrep

All these songs are much better on the studio albums. "Cortez" in particular - the "Zuma" version is a must hear. That is when he was in top form. He scorched the air with "Zuma," and burned it to a black pitch on "Tonights the Night" _ The live album, as good as it is (despite weak mixing) feels like an afterthought.

John Bellinger

Stephen Stills album "Manassas", this album appears on the list of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" and rightly so!

Betsey

Neil Young & Crazy Horse: RUST NEVER SLEEP Concert Film is a great, classic movie for all lovers of rock and roll. Extended version of LIKE A HURRICANE, with TONIGHTS THE NIGHT, POWDERFINGER, CORTEZ THE KILLER, HEY HEY MY MY, THE NEEDLE AND THE DAMAGE DONE. Just great, great stuff with Neil and Crazy Horse in top form.

Clifton Owens

Time to revisit Steely Dan. There is still so much wonderful material to cover.

Dan L.

America's first album would be a great reaction from you both. Mostly acoustic tunes, which are great; there's not a bad one in the bunch. Besides "Horse With No Name" (which you've reacted to) there are other gems in the album. "Never Found The Time", "I Need You", "Riverside", "Sandman" and "Donkey Jaw". Definitely worth the listen to hear the band's acoustic roots.

Paul King

The Springsteen "No Nukes" concert. See the band back when they were at full force without the length of a Bruce concert.

Tom W

Haven't you guys reacted to "Nilsson Schmilsson"? Searching, but not finding it...

Mark Kelso

When I think about albums that you may want to consider reacting to.... I have to mention Some Girls by the Rolling Stones. It is so good and it represents some great work that the Stones put out in the late 1970's. It is important to listen to their music beyond those classic hits of the late 60s and get an idea of the Stones lasting power over so many decades.

Donna C

I have never liked the mix on that album. Many of the studio versions are far superior.

John Bellinger

Agree completely, I've been pushing for "Rust Never Sleeps" album or better yet movie reaction!!!

Eric Schill

Neil Young's 1978 concert tour "Rust Never Sleeps', documented in this acclaimed two-hour film that was directed by Young himself (using the pseudonym Bernard Shakey), It's an amazing example of his singer-songwriter and guitar genius. It's like a trip through the rabbit hole of sights, sounds, with 20 songs (including two versions of "Hey Hey, My My," his nod to the punk movement, acoustic and electric bangers with Crazy Horse backing in great form - tunes from as far back to his Buffalo Springfield days ("I Am a Child") and continuing through popular solo numbers like "Cinnamon Girl" and the extended "Like a Hurricane, Tonights The Night, Powderfinger, Cortez The Killer, and much more. You should give it go. Great for your fan from the 60's to 2022 and beyond.

Clifton Owens

Thanks!

Henry Bakker

When does The Commitments reaction drop? It's the reason I subscribed!

AC/DC-Powerage. Judas Priest-Sad Wings of Destiny. Tom Petty-Damn the Torpedoes. Aerosmith-Rocks or Toys on the Attic. Jackson Browne-Running On Empty

I'm 66 yrs old. This was my first 8 track tape. I wore it out. Your channel is the first I check every week. I love hearing the younger generation appreciated the old music. You guys are usually point on with how I feel on the music you are responding to. Keep up the good work.

Brett Campbell

Where is Tapestry??

Lori S.

What up ? Waiting for single # 3 for April and Carole King -Tapestry album. Did you party too much this weekend?

blane williams

Hey Andy and Alex, I must admit I enjoy your analysis of the Songs. They are in-depth and very honest. I often feel that you don't get the best representation of the Artists, simply by the songs chosen. Linda is one of those who are so good that she deserves to be viewed live. My favourite is Tumbling Dice & You're No Good, Atlanta 1977. It gives a much better representation of her rock credentials. https://youtu.be/yBg5cnoNyAE

Byron

I like Roy Orbison's version better though this version is okay too

Todd Jackson

This and "Anticipation" were her big radio plays and hugely revered during that time (still are!) so, to me, it's a definite S tier, nostalgia aside~~~~~

Marion Wizner

Charlie B Nice list thank you. I think the just added The Kids are Alright to the movie list

James molony

Hi I’ve been having issues where I am paying eight dollars but I’m locked out of the five dollar tier. I also can’t access my messages in discord and I’ve asked them to help me multiple places multiple threads tons of messages not getting any help

R 8888

Never mind, I have access again

William Hanley

Hey A&A , I just paid the marked up minimum fee. Which I don't mind much but why am I getting locked out of the reaction after I listen to it. Please correct issue.

William Hanley

Good list! Hope you hit the following classic albums at some point: Blonde on Blonde (Bob Dylan), Who's Next (The Who), Highway to Hell (AC-DC), Breakfast in America (Supertramp), Purple Rain, 1999, and/or Sign O' The Times (Prince), a live Springsteen concert from 1975 and/or 1978, Songs in the Key of Life (Stevie Wonder), A Hard Day's Night (Beatles), Some Girls (Rolling Stones) and so many others...

Todd Jackson

For sure. So many great APP tunes to hit. "Turn of a friendly card" stayed on my turntable for a month after I bought it. Just kept flipping it over when i got home from work. Just one of their masterpieces.

Cappy Petri

Just saw Just JP’s review of the Alan Parsons Project album The Turn of a Friendly Card and thought of you two guys. Great album vibe I think you would love to review 😊

Paul David

Young dudes. Cara here. Try Chris Stapleton ‘s new song, Arkansas. You can watch live at CMT 2021 awards just between yourselves and see how it stacks up to the one you just did. His wife is singing harmonies.

The Dylan/Hendrix 'All ALong the Watchtower' seems to link to Billy Joel's 'Piano Man'.

Tim Turner

it is time to hit the complete Electric Ladyland

Marc McCune

Guys you have too watch this pure and simply amazing link below Snark Puupy Lingus https://youtu.be/L_XJ_s5IsQc

Love this list, and I wish there was one for the single reactions. All the scrolling, scrolling, scrolling gets tedious. Then there’s the “load more” function that usually has a dead spell, where you wait and wait for more content to load. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten back as far as the earliest posts.

David Wilkins

Suggestion: only live music sets and documentaries. I just think you should do another channel for anything non music related like movies.

Joshua

Nice to have a list! Thanks!

Bill Shields

Just another suggestion . . . this derives from my newborn passion for Prog Rock (thanks to you guys). Here's one I really like -- "Throw Down Your Sword: by Wishbone Ash. Also, I discovered a great album, "Similitude of a Dream" by Neal Morse, that's well worth checking out. Morse is terrific and somehow outside the usual prog rock suspects. You'll love him.

Ed Noponen

Its time to do All Things Must Pass! I suggest the new mix

Martin Iversen

Hey, for a movie, you should watch the animated movie "Heavy Metal." Then for an album reaction, do that soundtrack. One of the best movie soundtracks ever!

Ken Ray

The other one you need to review is the ultimate piano solo ... James Booker Tico Tico

Carole (ceecee)

You need to review the song A Fool For Your Stockings by ZZ Top off the Deguello album, Thanks!

Carole (ceecee)

You have to react to Snarky Puppy now, they are touring with Steely Dan. Lingus or What About Me?

Lucas Barton

You guys have to listen toLive At Leeds. You loved TKAA . you will will be blown away.

Anthony Basileo

Please watch and react to the movie - Empire Records!!!

Here's a movie to try David Bowie in - The man who fell to earth....`

Maxtedsgarage

@Robert Everest Johnson You can request a song here or on any reaction video on Andy & Alex's YouTube Channel. Usually, there's a post from A&A asking for any other songs that they should "hit" with the current artist(s)/bands, but you can put your request there too. I hope this helps.

Cat Butte

How do I requst a song? Here in the comments or is there a special process that I do not understand? Anybody.

Robert Everest Johnson

THANK YOU Charlie for putting the spreadsheet together and making it available to us. VERY Much Appreciated. One minor little thing, for consistency and easier searching of artist name would you be so kind as to make all names FIRST LAST example: in Column A, all the "Bowie, David" make them "David Bowie" or maybe Andy or Alex can make the change? Thanks Guys

Frank Perez

The Beatles Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years by Ron Howard is an excellent documentary. Lots of unseen footage and excellent performances.

David Martin

Long overdue.

Christian Smith

Totally agree with all of these but would add A Night At The Opera as well.

OberonOZ

You need to react to Golden Brown by The Stanglers

Zak

Same here , there's a video of the whole show.

Helter

I just saw the Dirty Water reaction: If you really want to experience garage rock, you should listen to the original Nuggets album. It restarted the entire garage rock renaissance.

robin first born

I've been telling you guys for two years. THE WHO LIVE AT LEEDS original release

Douglas Friedrich

You should listen to (I am the resurrection) by the Stone Roses!

Zak

You guys should really check out the Stephen Stills album "Manassas". It's a double album with kinda 4 themes. It was 1972 so it is a classic and well, it's Stephen Stills.

sam farley

I also throw in a request for Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage.

robin first born

What Hank just said about Young Man Blues and more.

robin first born

So cool that you guys get to see this video, imagine how important it was roughly 1 year after Moons death for this to come out. Glad you got to see young man blues, great version terrible video. PLEASE REACT TO THAT SONG LIVE PLEASE

Helter

A lot of the album links (Beatles in particular) don't work anymore, fellas.

Aj

That's a 1934 Martin D-18 guitar (one of the stradivarius' in the acoustic guitar world).

Carole (ceecee)

Backbone of the 1970's old time music legacy is the fingerpicking style album of Norman Blake called Whiskey Before Breakfast. Highlights include Every track, especially the Patriotic Double Eagle and for today's times... Church Street Blues. Remember this is a solo album!

Carole (ceecee)

The self titled debut album by Hot Tuna (1970) is still my All-time favorite album. Still fresh with every listen!

Carole (ceecee)

Just wanna put in a request for Tom Petty-'Damn the Torpedoes' full album reaction. You are woefully short on Tom Petty reactions and this is arguably his best full album, although I really love 'Wildflowers' C'mon Andy&Alex, show Tom some love.

blane williams

Go up to the search box in the upper right and type in Sultans of Swing. It came up first thing for me. It was blocked on You Tube.

If you go to YouTube and type Andy and Alex Sultans of Swing in the search box, both A&A's reaction to Sultans of Swing and their reaction video to Alchemy Live will pop up! Welcome, newbie! 😸

Thanks for the extra effort!

Trying to check out Allman Brothers - Live at the Fillmore East, no luck. Hope you can help me out!

Eric Cohen

I have never had any problem watching your videos, until now. I just tried Quadrophenia both from your above list, and by searching the site. In both case I got "Sorry this video doesn't exist" notices.

WMalven

Not working on the landing page get this message when trying to play, "Sorry This video does not exist." If the landing page had a link to Vimeo that worked (like Stairway to Heaven (Live) but apparently not everything you have on the master list has a Vimeo link, like this link https://www.patreon.com/posts/zeppelin-debut-45675546 didn't play. Using Safari on MacBook Pro running Big Sur

Betsey

The Master list does not work for me, when I click to play video I get video does not exist... this is from my home computer and I have windows 10.

Andrew

Thanks Man, very helpful

Eric Schill

You should deffo check out The Magical Mystery Tour by the Beatles.

Lars Knuth

Just added the link to my google bookmark for later!

Geff Gorman

The good thing about binging A&A is you can't OD, have fun trying! Hahahha

Andy&Alex

Dang, DM me and I can get you links to the videos, and will work to see if I can fix the older ones!

Andy&Alex

I have two sons (12 & 15 Y.O.) I am going to make a play list of every song A & A has done and play them on road trips on my awesome aftermarket custom car stereo for my two sons and I to enjoy. Reason: If A & A are featuring a song then THAT song must already be worthy of special attention and MUST be heard by my sons, Or I have failed as a parent.

Frank Perez

DM me and I'll send you links!

Andy&Alex

Appreciate that! Reach out via DM for any links to those albums you may want!

Andy&Alex

Wow nice guys! 👍🏻

Laura Miller

I found that if you click your patreo link on youtube to comes right up.... thanks

Vic Lagina

There's a "Watch it on Vimeo" that takes you to the site if you're on mobile(video is working there). Otherwise, I'm getting the same error on PC(chrome/ff)

Mateus Muniz

Excellent! Saves so much time not scrolling back to a particular song!!

Geff Gorman

Thank Charlie B!

Andy&Alex

The broken links occur with certain devices I think, android seems to have the issue, I think the solution is finding a different way to access patreon on the device, try the app vs the website vs the website but from a browser app like chrome/FF, not totally sure.

Andy&Alex

Just joined to watch The Beatles albums reactions. Apparently none of those videos “exist “

Lou Della Valle

I recently subscribed and started to work my way from the earliest reactions, and almost none of the older videos work for me.

Waylon Jack

As the one who compiled this list (just for the fun of it!) two comments . 1) It is not (yet!) actually "every song we've EVER reacted to ". It's got everything on Patreon but I'm still working on Youtube links from 2018 and early 2019. I update the first line of the 'Songs' tab to keep track of completeness status. Also, the indexing of tracks in live streams has only just begun - if there are any volunteers to help crowd source that....... 2) Seeing a lot of comments above about broken Patreon links.....but I tested a handful of the ones mentioned this morning and they all work for me. Not sure what's going on there.....I hope Patreon urls aren't subscriber specific? Are those links working for anyone other than me?

Charlie Board

Thanks guys for doing this, very helpful.

Erik Harrison

Tom Petty American Girl was hit in a livestream.

Dan Hartzog

Thanks for the work, but got some troubleshooting for you. Several of the albums are giving a "This video does not exist" error (Quadrophenia, Abbey Road, Crime of the Century, and more); also, your reaction to the Guess Who's "American Woman" disappeared off your YouTube channel a little while ago.

Michael LaPorte

The Scorpions song was Dynamite, you have it listed as ????.

Scorpio Rising

Abbey Road and Revolver doesn't exist can't watch and my 2 all time favorite albums too :(

Jim Paquette

Same for White Album, does not exist.

Steve Amlaw

Trying to access the Beatles Abbey Road album, and it says this video does not exist? Love you guys and I love to watch this video

Linda hutson

Thank you

Robert Harper

Dudes, I can't believe you have done so many albums already, time flies, thanks for the good vibes gentleman.

MrDeadstu

@Andy & Alex My mistake! It worked. It's just hard to select the right line because they're smaller than my finger on my phone display. This is a great sheet though! Love the search choices! Thanks man! ❤

Mags

Thank you. This has got to represent a lot of work. It's a great gift, you didn't have to, but it's much appreciated. Thank you Charlie!!!

Mike

nice!
