2024-08-02 15:45:46 +0000 UTCActually fellas, you can go back in time and simply watch the movie Quadrophenia. Against all odds, this film not only captures perfectly the look of the Mod/Rockers era, along with the narrative of the album, but also visually flows in service of the Who's music, not forcing the soundtrack as an afterthought. That's a very unlikely hat trick. So, it's really only a very short distance in time you have to travel back to: specifically Dec. 2022 and reconsider the total elimination film. Amend the policy to just eliminate the weaker films.

2023-01-31 03:03:12 +0000 UTCAll due respect to AC/DC. Quadrophenia is on a totally different level than Back In Black. Quadrophenia isnโt just a collection of good songs. Itโs something else.Itโs War and Peace.itโs The Godfather. Itโs an epic journey. One song leads into the next. Culminating in Love Reign Oโer Me,like you said. Every teenager has felt the way Jimmy felt on Quadrophenia. Itโs not just a rock albumIts the Mona Lisa of rock albums.. Roger,John,Pete and Keith are all at the top of their abilities here.As a whole,The Who is the most under appreciated band ever. Forget the Mount Rushmore of rock bands. The Who stand alone atop Mount Everest.
