Update: Constipation Issues + YTPreview!

Before I bore you with lots of words, be sure to enjoy this 1-minute preview of another random YTP I've worked on (for paid patrons), involving a ridiculous vintage 1980s workout tape called "Tiger Moves". As you can probably tell, it is already hilarious and awkward on its own, but giving it the YTP treatment feels like icing on the cake. I am thankful for the YT recommendation algorithm blessing me with this absolute treasure. πŸ˜†

Okay soooo... it's been a freakin' crazy month for me! I've worked on like 3 projects at once, including that video essay about my deleted videos, which continues to drag on and on. Like I said earlier - over 69 videos which I discuss for roughly 1 minute each, so we're looking at over an hour long poop discussion πŸ—£οΈπŸ’© I appreciate everyone's patience, I know you're all very much looking forward to that. I should probably post a preview of that too.

The Cybertruck YTP is basically done (it was going to originally go up tonight), but I continue to have a very frustrating issue with random datamoshing when Premiere exports the final render. The datamoshing is present while editing too, but I can usually work around it. This has been happening for several years, and I don't know if it's an issue with Premiere's reading of the source media, the nature of the source media itself (coming direct from YouTube) or unknown problems with my graphics card / driver.

Oftentimes the solution to that is to just re-encode the source video, but I will frequently forget to do that before I begin editing, so by the time I see the issue happening, I'm already too deep into the editing process. Yes, I could still re-encode by this point, but for whatever reason that results in certain frames and audio samples being ever so slightly off from the original, which creates additional mess to clean up respective to the sentence mixing I already did. You'd think a simple re-encode wouldn't alter the exact timings of the media at all, but for whatever reason... it does, and it frustrates the shish outta me!

TLDR I'm forced to do a piece-by-piece (brick-by-brick?) export in 30-second increments, vigorously checking to ensure no segments look corrupted, and then splice those segments together yet again. This Cybertruck YTP is 9 minutes long, and I am hoping to get it out within the next few days - hopefully with completed captions! πŸ˜…

Thanks again for your understanding and continued support!! ❀️
