I'll post the two other pages I have next month, and hopefully I'll be able to work on some more.

It's a weird feeling for me to finally post this. It's far from the bombastic release I had in mind, considering for how long I've been thinking about this story! I know this will not resonate with a lot of people, but it's just something that is so dear to me...

And yes, I know they kinda suck and look like two panels, but I really didn't want to start with overcrowded pages full of panels.
The truth is I was never satisfied with the beginning, and never knew how to start it. The first iteration had something similar to Avatar The Last Airbender ("a long time ago, the four nations lived together in harmony..."), except it ended up being way too long and would have lasted 20 pages or more. On the other hand, I never found a way to properly start right away with the characters and the plot, nor how to "show don't tell" all the worldbuilding.
So for better and worse, I've tried to find another way to deal with the exposition without making it too tedious, but it's far from ideal and far from a good start with a story.
It'll be a while before I show the characters, which okay since, apart from Kylian and a few others, I still haven't figured out their design!

Since I've mentioned design, I'll briefly talk about the art style: you'll see with the second page that I wanted to push it a bit more beyond my comfort zone, but I'll have to simplify it. Not only am I unable to properly render some pages with the same quality, but it's simply way too much time consuming...I'll see how it goes, but I fear I'll just end up posting a summary of the whole story. Crossing fingers so it's not the case!

Ah, and now you know what the real title of Kylian's Adventure is...
