MONTHLY Q&A ANSWERS FOR SEPTEMBER - LEAVE QUESTIONS FOR OCTOBER HERE IN COMMENTS

These are the answers to the questions received last month. Please leave your questions for next month in the comments below, and bare in mind the rules:

ANSWERS FOR SEPTEMBER 2025

Q: In your view, is the online leftist politics content space entirely a grift or is there potential for even a little bit of genuine good?

A: Grifting means lying about your beliefs to make money. I don't think most people do that at all. Propaganda is a real thing and in terms of individual action, there's not really much more that 1 person can do that would be more effective than them spreading their politics as a youtuber or whatever else. But overall it's just political themed entertainment that probably does inspire a limited number of others to do stuff (for better or worse)

Q: How hard should we push back against people who champion the narrative that Israel controls America and completely ignore the obvious role Israel plays as a contract killer for the American Empire? (PS sorry for annoying you and getting blocked on X)

A: I don't think this is super important right now but people argue about things that aren't priorities all the time so I'm not gonna begrudge them if they do argue about it

Q: As a historian what is your opinion on historical materialis as a method of analysis, is it too rigid in its way of looking at the world? Do historians today have better methods of looking at history?

A: Materialism is just what all historiography is. Historical materialism (analysing history specifically through economics/social systems and especially through the lens of class conflict) is something else entirely and isn't that popular, nor should it be because there are certainly factors aside from just class that explain historical occurences and practices. But economics is and power relations is certainly a very popular mode of analysis, it's just not specifically historical materialism

Q: Did you ever cover this story? The Guardian ran with the headline: "Jewish man mistakes two Israeli tourists for Palestinians and opens fire on them in Miami" (17 Feb 2025)

A: Yes I made a video on my second channel

Q: Do you feel less motivated to make videos about Australian politics since leaving? Would you ever make a video about the NSN, or do you believe it's not worth even mentioning those drop kicks?

A: Australia is not an important country geopolitically so there is no reason to make lots of content about it when my channel is focused on geopolitics

Q: Have you seen the MentisWave response to your response? If so what are your thoughts

A: He just avoids the fact that he never even actually tried to respond to my first video by going even further beyond failing to respond to it by instead "debunking" an article that I referenced for one single point in my response to his response. It's far too stupid to warrant working on an actual video on it, as he never actually even tried to refute my original video in either of his responses.

Q: You have helped radicalize me in the best way, thank you. Do you consider yourself a Marxist-Leninist? Why or why not?

A: I do not care about labels, these are thrown around as if they are points of honor and pride and they are not.

Q: You've done a lot to highlight the support of supposedly progressive/left-wing Youtubers of Israel and the Gaza genocide. Do you have any interest in critiquing right-wing YouTube who are doing the same thing? The Triggernometry YouTube channel for example seems to have got off lightly despite their appalling support for this.

A: I have dozens, possibly hundreds, of videos specifically talking about 'right wing' pro Israel narratives

Q: In your opinion are there any non-capitalist regions or eras in history, that we could point to for what to aim for to establish a fair and functional society?

A: Capitalism has only existed for around 250-300 years. Go look around before that if you want. I don't particularly care about regressing to the past though.

Q: In one of your older videos, you said you won't touch the topic of North Korea with a 10 foot pole or something to that effect. Not requesting a video here, but curious, is it just out of zero interest at all, is reliable information on it too hard to come by in your experience to make it worth sifting through, or is it something else entirely?

A: There is literally zero value in talking about it. Its defenders are insane online teenagers, and its detractors are imperialists who want the country destroyed outright, and the only possible effect of talking about it is playing into the latter group's aims.

Q: If a communist from the first world is going to move to a third world country to try to materialy support the improving of living standards for people, where do you think is best to move to?

A: Don't, this is a weird thing to do or think about. I think you might have taken a joke video I made too seriously.

Q: Do you think you'll play Fursan Al-Aqsa again on stream whenever the next update comes out?

A: No, I don't want to give the people who stalk my channel an opportunity to report it.

I was reading through the wiki article on labor aristocracy and saw the claim that the Air Line Pilots Association is part of the labor aristocracy. I understand that they’re incentivized to maintain their privileged position within capitalism both domestically and globally and as such are not interested in broader class solidarity or may even actively work against it. Is there anything you would add to that assessment of airline pilots being part of the labor aristocracy? Also, you said at the end of your video on unions recently that electoralism is the only thing you can speak freely on in regards to resisting imperialism or building socialism. Is there anything you can speak more freely about on Patreon that you can’t on YouTube? Thanks in advance.

Do you think any country has been solid in speaking up for Palestine on the global stage?

Why do you reject Protracted People's Warfare as the sole military theory of our class? The three components of PPW are universal. If you don't see PPW in the imperial core as an unsolved scientific challenge, I want to know why.

What got you interested in the plight of Aboriginal people and colonialism to go and study it at a uni? Any specific books or people? Thanks!

Who killed Charlie Kirk, and why?

In addition to that, what countries (if any) do you think it's strategically recommended to emigrate from to improve your effectiveness at reaching any form of liberation for the global working class, or even the working class from your country of origin (helping others to help yourself)? How serious were you in telling Hasan to leave the US? What about Australia, western Europe (specifically the ones benefitting the most from US and EU imperialism), eastern Europe (specifically the former socialist states including Russia), Turkey? What about even third world countries who've fallen to fascism? Again disregarding the capabilities of people to leave, and moral reasons not to tell people to leave or stay in their country. (Yes, I was inspired by last month's question about what country to migrate to, note that my question is the opposite)
