they most likely consider showcases and concerts two separate things because, technically in the world of musicians, a showcase isn't a concert because it's just that: them showcasing and focusing on their MOST RECENT work. it's a one and done type deal for your current album on a singular day -- the day you drop your work, you have the showcase to present it to both the media and your fans, where most of the time is spent answering official media questions before you start promoting it on live shows and doing variety shows. like, there's an actual hired host and everything who keeps the show running. whereas a concert, usually, is multiple days (or weeks and months for twice as whole) full of content from everything you've released up until that point of your latest work with just the team running the show and you're free to do more off script moments and relax.
like, when twice debuted with like ooh-ahh in 2015, they had a debut showcase where they, obviously, only performed content that was a part of "the story begins" ep. but when they came back with cheer up, they held another showcase for the "page two" ep, where the main focus was showing off songs from page two, as well as throwing back to a couple songs from the story begins.
and they kept doing that with both the twicecoaster ep's because twice didn't have their first concert until 2017 (which was after having showcases where they released both "TT" and "signal"), so now they have enough material to fully present within a 2-2:30 hour long concert, rather than the usual hour long showcase.
i believe their last official showcase was with feel special because then the pandemic hit so they just started doing comeback lives where they're more relaxed and just goofing off while still performing the latest album. so now, because they're so established and so busy that they don't need to do showcases, they'll release an album, have about an hour long comeback live to introduce it, talk and play games, perform usually the title and 2 main b-sides, then will instantly go to live shows to promote it (like, music bank or even when they were on good morning america). and now, usually, they'll either add the new album into their rotation if they're currently touring or will announce a new tour for a couple months later to properly promote the current album.
so it's the same with misamo. masterpiece was their only thing, so it was only showcasing masterpiece at two arena's over the course of 5 days (which is a lot for a showcase in general, but misamo, and twice as a whole, rule japan so they really couldn't do anything less than that). but haute couture is a concert because they're in domes and showing off content from TWO separate works.

Lee Youngji’s No Prepare November 15. The episode, features TXT’s Taehyun, Soobin, and Yeonjun with TWICE’s Jihyo and Chaeyoung. The episode will have a part two, so there will likely be more moments between TWICE and fanboy Taehyun! Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceGXF7zTk1Y&t=8s
Note: According to the article I read, TWICE members will appear at the 27 minute mark.

Sometimes I think we have questions about what they are saying may be because the translations are not 100% correct interpretations. I always take that into consideration when I see some of the comments. It would be better if I knew Japanese and Korean as I know some subs are just not quite what they are saying.

I agree to the reference to 1st concert. I think the showcase was in a smaller venue (still seemed pretty big to me) so when they talk about the Dome concerts, they probably feel more like "concerts" to them.

This documentary is so well produced, I hope it's more than 3 episodes.
Maybe Mina is registered as being born in japan on her birth certificate, for official purposes, I don't know if that's possible. My birth certificate has a different city from the one I was actually born in, it's still in the same country though.
Mina's brother briefly appers in a recent Misamo video, but I can't remember which one it was...

It makes sense that she's already working on her comeback for spring/summer next year, Nayeon also had a 2 year gap. And knowing Jihyo, she wants to outdo herself, no doubt.

ok thanks for clarifying that. And yeah I kinda thought the same thing----meaning that is the area they are from, not necessarily having been born there

I saw something that has me wondering about Jihyo. It was a Bubble screenshot of her conversation with someone. It went something like this:
Person: Your album Zone is a masterpiece.
Jihyo: Thank you! Just wait till you hear my second album.
This only got my mind thinking of Jihyo working on her second solo. Just my thoughts again, nothing more.

I think when they said 1st time, they were refering to performing in the Tokyo Dome (sizewise), since the Masterpiece Showcase were in smaller arenas. As far as Mina stating they were born in the Kansai area, I think she meant that they are all from there, but these are just my thoughts. Lastly for Justin, Momo did dress up as Cruella in one of their past Halloween Specials. Mina has an older brother.

Im with you on this one.....I thought they already had a first concert, so this would be their 2nd one. Im confused. 2. When MIna was asked to define her own identity, I myself said "elegance"......very coincidental that you said "elegant". Great minds think alike, but I think its cool though that we pretty much said the same thing. 3. I get the feeling by watching this that Sana would "seem like" the group leader here. She is very forthcoming in her thoughts, ideas and suggestions, and would seem like she could be the leader of this group. Although they have already officially said there is no leader, just whoever wants to do it for that day. 4. Didnt they say debut again? How can you debut when youve already debut? You cant debut two times. Not sure why one of them said that.
